The Royal Family Potrait!

Selene's eyes snapped open and she looked around. Her heart race picked up in fear as her eyes searched the unfamiliar candlelit surrounding. She sat up in a start hugging herself with fear encroaching her.

How horrible it felt to wake up with no idea of one's location.

"It's good that you're awake."

"Aarghh!" Selene screamed shortly at the deep voice.

She turned and saw dark eyes digging deep in to her as well as noticing the form of a huge man now towering over her.

Startled by the jolt of attraction she felt, she moved backwards in fear that she reached the edge of the bed and started to fall off.

In a swift movement, Zephyr was on the other side holding her in his arms and she gasped by the sudden contact.

She was thinking of how fast he had caught her but those thoughts vanished when her hands were pressed against his chest. She could feel such great attraction as her heart started beating very quickly.

As she looked at his perfectly structured face, her breath seized in her throat and she thought to herself that the goddess did not hate her so much after all, to give her a mate this beautiful.

"Do you feel it? The Attraction." The words were out of Selene's mouth before she even knew it and Zephyr was surprised.

Her tone was soft yet solid and clear. Her sharp blue eyes were intoxicating and it sent reverberating shock waves through his body.

He growled before saying curtly.

"No."

Then he suddenly dropped her on the bed and she landed in a light bounce.

Selene hugged her knees close to her body as her eyes followed the pacing man.

"Where am I? Who are you?" Her voice broke the silence.

Zephyr stopped pacing and she thought he would give her an answer but he headed to the door, opened it and closed it before coming to drop a tray in front of her.

"Eat." He ordered standing tall before her. Zephyr watched as she looked down at the tray of food and reacted with a wrinkled nose.

It sparked something in him….

A plate of large duck roast, a tall glass of water and a tall glass of wine.

Though Selene was very hungry, she could feel her insides already rejecting the sight of the food.

She looked back up at Zephyr defiantly.

"No." She said simply.

Zephyr stared back at her, another spark at her reaction.

"It's not poison." He informed her.

"You wouldn't need poison to kill me." She pointed out .

It was refreshing to hear her voice slightly shaken but still very firm and clear. But Zephyr didn't have the patience. He wanted her to eat so that he could find out what he wanted.

"Who are you? Where am I?" She asked.

"Eat now!" Zephyr said feeling irritated! No one dared to question his command!.

"I won't eat until you answer my questions!" She said.

Her tone was soft yet as strict as her sapphire eyes looked.

There was silence for a split second and then Zephyr looked down at her.

"There are two soldiers out this door. I will have them make you eat. With whatever measure they choose." He finished the sentence clearly and his dark eyes sent shivers through Selene's body .

From his manner, he was someone very important. Someone powerful.

Shakily, she reached for the glass of water and gulped it down faster than she intended to. Her stomach rumbled loudly in response and she chuckled embarrassed seeing as he was still looking at her intensely.

She looked down at the meat and an uneasy feeling passed through her throat. With the intense heaviness of his gaze, Selene wondered if he would call the guards to come in any moment from now.

Again, this female confused Zephyr who was hardly ever surprised. He had never known anyone to look at meat with such irritation.

Perhaps she was still being stubborn.

She further shocked him when she cleared her throat and asked.

"Can I please, have some soup?"

He didn't move, neither did he say anything. His dark eyes just stared at her.

His gaze was heavy and intimidating, as well as the moment of silence. When he stood up, Selene gasped in a start .

Zephyr narrowed his eyes and simply walked to the door, he opened it and returned with a bowl of soup which he placed before her.

Selene looked down at the bowl and then up at him.

Who is this? She wondered to herself.

"Eat!" Zephyr snapped at her in a growl. Startled again, she picked up the spoon with shaky hands that annoyed her very much and began to feed herself.

His ever dark and deep gaze never left her and though she was uncomfortable, she was also very hungry that she soon emptied the bowl.

She wanted more but she couldn't find it in her to ask or explain why she was starving like she had been asleep for a hundred years.

Had she been asleep for that long?

"Thank you ." Selene said without a glance at the untouched meat and wine before her.

Zephyr understood. She would not be eating anything else.

He stood up and with a firm hand set the tray on a table aside. Then he leaned over Selene who gasped at the sudden close proximity accompanied by her fast beating heart.

He brought forward an unrolled sheet and held her arm before almost shoving the paper in to her face.

"Do you know them?" He asked with a thunderous voice.

Selene looked at the paper and then she felt like she had been kicked in the pit of her stomach.

Her father, her step mother and her step siblings. Her body quivered under his hold but she tried to maintain herself.

"I don't know them." She said .

Zephyr was certain now that she was lying and he hated that he could not shake it out of her for fear that she might faint again.

He released his grip on her and started to head for the door.

"Please tell me who you are." She called after him.

Zephyr stopped but he didn't answer her.

She tried again.

"Have I been asleep for a hundred years?" She suddenly asked with her soft voice ringing out.

Zephyr threw a look over his shoulder and Selene stiffened. She stood up slowly hugging her arms to herself.

"Please." She begged shakily. "Where am I? How did I get here? Who are you?"

Again there was no response from him, he only stood looking over his shoulder even though his face still didn't match hers.

Selene stood rooted to the ground now with her heart beating so quickly that she felt weak again.

"Tell me, Are you my mate? I can feel it….. I can feel you." Her voice was enchanting, or so Zephyr felt.

He growled angrilly and walked out slamming the door loudly behind him.

Selene looked around feeling trapped and clueless. If she could throw herself out the window again then she would have.

But it was not the night of the new moon phase. Stepping out will be the end of her.

Stepping out will cause Death.

Sobbing weakly she lay on the bed and cried herself to sleep.
