Eric lifts her in his hands and carries her inside the large mansion. He struggles to ignore the fact that her face is so close to his. If he leans down just a little bit and she happens to look at him, all of his self control will break into pieces like a dam.
He walks past the living room and carries her up the staircase into the bedroom, the bed completely covered in rose petals that are arranged in a neat heart shape with its red insides filled with the same rose petals. He drops her gently on the bed and Mina's heartbeat safely goes over the normal heart rate as they exchange an intense eye contact.
She had believed that at least it'll be better to marry the same man who made her a woman but now, as he stares at her, his eyes burning with longing, she wonders if it a good idea.
He reaches for the lower hem of his shirt and slowly pulls out the shirt from the trouser. His hand strays up his chest, still maintaining eye contact with her, and his straying hands come to rest on his top button, which slowly and sensually, he undoes.
Mina visibly swallows. Is she about to find out what is so special about wedding nights?
Then to the second button, same thing, and he does the same for the next four buttons, making sure that his acts render her pink and blushing on the bed, unable to tear her eyes away from him.
At the tortuous end, he removes the shirt and flings it over her head, his upper body part completely bare. He reaches down, his hands going towards her face.
Reflexively, she closes her eyes in alarm.
"For someone who was telling me to get away from her that night, you seem to like seeing me undress very much." He whispers breathily into her ears and she visibly freezes, opening her eyes a crack to see him smirk and then straighten up. "Don't get thoughts into your head. I simply married you to make things even between our families. Also, I don't like other people being evil." He states passively as he walks to the other side of the bed.
Mina can only stare at him helplessly.
Just then, there is a light knock at the door. Eric answers the door, putting on a coat as he does.
He brings inside a tray with warm tea and places it beside her. "I figured you would be tired after all of the festivities today and got that for you. It's just common sense, nothing special about it." He takes off is trousers and Mina turns away sharply, avoiding to look at him.
He chuckles. "Like you haven't seen it before." He mutters and leaves for the adjacent door leading to their bathroom.
Shocked and overwhelmed, Mina stays in the bed, managing to take a sip out of the chamomile tea before she curls up on the bed, her long white gown still wrapped around her body. She curls so hard into herself that her legs are almost touching her chest.
She hears as he leaves the bathroom but she does not open her eyes or make any movement so she won't do anything to make him come to her. She remembers clearly what had happened when she only clapped in joy that morning.
"I am a gentleman, I won't touch you. But you are my wife and you now bear my last name, so we have to sleep in the same bed. Don't play any games tonight. I am going to bed."
Mina feels the rustle of sheets as he climbs into the bed, beside her. She rolls her eyes as he called himself a gentleman. He had been everything but a gentlemen just some five nights ago and here he is now, faking his self control.
"Why did you come into the room that day?" Mina asks, her small voice piercing the silence between them.
