Aria held the remote control, still in a daze.
Just then, she felt something tug at her pants. She couldn't help but look down in a daze.
A fluffy little creature with pure white fur met her eyes. It immediately let go of her pants, and its big blue eyes were bright and watery. It raised its head proudly and decently, looking at her and meowing, "Meow?"
A cat?
Aria blinked, stunned.
It was so much like Ryder.
He actually had a cat that resembled him so much.
Aria held her breath, stared at it for a moment, then bent down carefully and slowly. She reached out gently and cautiously, and suddenly grabbed the cat, quickly hugging it into her arms.
She thought the cat would struggle.
But to her surprise, the little creature stayed in her arms, stunned for a few seconds. When it came to its senses, it rubbed its nose against her.
Then its big blue eyes blinked gently, and its small paws affectionately hugged her hand. It stuck out its tongue with tiny barbs and licked her fingertips, meowing softly a few times.
Aria: "!"
Her fingertips felt itchy from the licking. It was so cute!
The love in the girl's eyes almost overflowed. Aria picked up the cat and affectionately rubbed her chin against its little head.
She greeted it in a low voice, "Hello, little guy." gōΠb.ōγg
The little guy tilted its head and meowed.
Aria peeked into the kitchen. Ryder's tall and unrestrained back flashed, and there was a thin strap around his waist.
She held the cat and watched quietly for a while, then withdrew her gaze and asked the little guy quietly, "Did he raise you?"
It was so similar, so it must be.
The cat didn't seem to agree and also glanced into the kitchen.
Then it retracted its head and paws, nestled into Aria's arms, and looked up at her, meowing softly, "Meow."
"Ooh."
Aria's eyes curved into a smile, and she poked the little guy's head, "Cute thing."
The cat rubbed against her palm obediently, "Meow~"
When Ryder came out of the kitchen to put the ingredients in the refrigerator and casually glanced over, he just happened to see this scene that made him unhappy—
His little girl was curled up on the sofa, holding a stupid cat in her arms.
The stupid cat clung to his girl's fingers. Its fat body was clumsy and slow, and it was trying to lean its head closer to rub against his girl's face.
And his little girl was quite indulgent, happily lowering her face to let it do as it pleased.
Ryder's hand that was about to open the refrigerator door suddenly paused. He slowly narrowed his eyes, turned his hand back, and walked towards the sofa casually.
The cat was about to succeed and kiss Aria.
Just as it was about to touch the girl's fragrant and soft face, a hand suddenly reached out from behind Aria's shoulder, directly grabbing the back of its neck.
The fluffy cat was unceremoniously lifted up.
It arched its back in anger, "Meow!"
Ryder drooped his eyelids and looked at it coldly, "Tsk."
Aria raised her head.
The cat: "Meow!"
The cat: "Meow meow meow!"
Ryder disdainfully carried it and threw it aside. He pressed the little girl's head and kissed Aria's face.
The provoked cat became even more furious. Its liquid-like body arched, and its tail stood up, "Meow——!!!"
Ryder sneered, "Idiot."
The little thing that had been so docile just now seemed about to pounce and bite him. Aria was both amused and annoyed.
She helplessly grabbed Ryder's hand and called him with a smile.
"Darling Rye."
Ryder retracted his gaze and snorted unhappily. He looked down at the little girl, reached out and squished her face together, and said casually, "Don't let it kiss you."
Aria blinked, and her "mmph" was muffled as she asked him to let go.
Ryder didn't let go. Instead, he leaned closer and repeated slowly, word by word, "Did you hear me? Mine."
Aria nodded repeatedly.
Only then did Ryder let go of her, satisfied.
His wife, she was his.
Aria leaned to the side, turned her body to face Ryder directly, and then couldn't help laughing when she looked at him.
"Ryder, how old are you this year? You're so childish. Why are you even jealous of a cat..."
Ryder looked at her with a gloomy expression, and she laughed even harder.
Finally, he was annoyed. He walked around and sat on the sofa, pressing her into his arms and giving her a kiss. The throw pillow was squeezed and fell lonely on the floor.
The little girl immediately became obedient. She even kicked off one of her slippers.
She stared at the slipper on the floor for a while, then simply kicked off the other one. With a red face, she quickly curled up on the other side of the sofa, obediently hugging her knees and looking at him quietly.
The cat squatted on one of the throw pillows, tilting its little head, and its bright cat eyes looked at them curiously.
Ryder's arm rested on the armrest of the sofa, and he raised his eyebrows slightly. He looked at her with a lazy smile, and his slightly low and casual voice carried a hint of hoarse sexiness and satisfaction.
"Why aren't you laughing anymore?"
Aria's almond eyes blinked, and she didn't speak. She covered her mouth and refused to look at him now.
Ryder teased the little girl for a while longer, then went back to the kitchen to continue cooking. Before leaving, he didn't forget to casually lift the stupid cat by the back of its neck and left with a straight face amidst the cat's angry "meows".
Aria, who had planned to hold the cat again after he left, watched him go with longing eyes and pursed her lips unhappily.
Such a stingy guy.
This childish Ryder.
She hadn't had a pet for a long time.
The cats at school were all stray cats, and they were wild-tempered. When she fed them, at most, she could only pat their heads. She had never held one.
Finally, there was a well-behaved cat at home, and she hadn't even had the chance to cuddle it to her heart's content. Who would have thought that her boyfriend was a super jealous person, even jealous of a cat.
Aria was a bit depressed.
She took the remote control glumly and tuned in a movie for herself.
The sounds of pots and pans came from the kitchen.
Aria only watched for a little over half of the movie and thought it was boring. She played with her phone for a while out of boredom.
Finally, she put on her slippers and ran to the kitchen to find Ryder.
Her father wasn't a good cook at home, so he rarely cooked. It was usually her aunt who did the cooking. When she was on vacation, she would occasionally go to help.
But she could do very little to help. Most of the time, she just stood there awkwardly watching, and then her aunt would gently smile and send her out, telling her to watch TV or play with her phone.
There weren't many boys of this age who could cook.
Young and impulsive, they couldn't settle down. What's more, he was a young master. Who would want to deal with simple food and the smell of cooking oil in the kitchen?
Aria stood outside the kitchen and watched.
The kitchen was spacious. Ryder had a dark gray apron tied around his waist. There was fish stewing in a pot on the stove, and a faint aroma of beer wafted out. He was cutting vegetables with his head down.
There were processed crabs in a stainless steel basin next to him.
They had bought a lot of ingredients.
This scene was extremely warm and beautiful. The tall and handsome boy's profile was calm, his lips were slightly pursed, and everything was going on in an orderly manner. His proficiency was a pleasure to watch.
The cat that had been so angry just now was quietly squatting on the decorative shelf by the kitchen counter, looking at the person cooking from time to time.
It quietly stretched out its paw, eager to try reaching for the pot of stewing fish.
