Xia Yuqing pressed her lips together.
Ran away? And a woman?
Did she flee out of fear of being caught, punished for almost killing someone, or forced to pay compensation? Or was there something else at play? Was this truly an accident, or was it deliberate?
A storm of thoughts crashed through her mind. She rubbed her temples, groaning, only to sense a presence beside her. Turning her face, she found Si Han studying the wrecked car. "It wasn't an accident," he murmured, his voice unsettlingly sure. "I saw it. That woman turned the wheel toward you on purpose."
Xia Yuqing clenched her fist. What the hell was going on? First, it was that spiked drink, and now this? Who wanted to harm her? And why?
Suddenly, Si Han lifted his hand, pointing at something. "There's a note stuck on the broken windshield."
