Reborn

Arvind Singhania is about to say something when he suddenly hears the sound of a gunshot. Before he can react, Shivani pulls out a taser and presses it against Arvind Singhania's neck, triggering it. The shock renders him unconscious.

Placing her foot on his head, Shivani says, "What did you say, old man? Who told you I was going to hand over this pen drive to the police? It's already gone. And from what you've said, I've realized that you're even worse than I thought."

With a devilish laugh, she delivers a hard kick to Arvind's nose as he lies on the ground. Just then, a young man enters the warehouse—the same one who had delivered the box sent by Saare. Running toward Shivani, he asks, "Are you okay?"

Shivani shouts angrily, "Idiot! I told you this job had to be done quietly. So, where did that gunshot come from? And what are you doing with a gun in your hands? Don't tell me you killed them!"

The boy replies, "Of course not. Do you think I'd do something like that? I just used tranquilizer darts to knock them out. But for some reason, they started foaming at the mouth."

"And as for the gunshot, that was an accident. I was just trying to practice my aim."

Furious, Shivani kicks him in the leg and says, "Idiot! What did you say about the foam? Who gave you those darts?"

"Of course, Sagar Sir did."

In a calm voice, Shivani says, "Give me the gun. And get out of here as quickly as possible."

After he leaves, Arvind regains consciousness and yells, "What are you planning to do with me? Look, if you hand me over to the police, I'll get out someday, and then—"

Before he can finish his sentence, Shivani fires a bullet straight into his head and says, "You talk too much, old man."

A week later

A doctor was observing a patient through the glass door when another doctor, Prakash Mehra, approached him from behind.

"Dr. Prakash Mehra, what are you doing here? Is everything alright?"

Dr. Prakash Mehra turned around and replied, "Yes, everything is fine. I was just looking at Mr. Ranjit Khanna. Poor guy, he's been through so much. His wife divorced him, his company is completely ruined, and I heard that his business partner, Mr. Arvind Singhania, was shot and killed. Not only that, but his kidneys and male reproductive organ were also mutilated. When he found out about all this, he couldn't handle the shock and lost his sanity."

Hearing this, the man standing in front said, "That's terrible. Poor man."

Sagar muttered to himself, "So,I was reborn… I've figured out that I must have definitely traveled back in time. There's no electricity here, no electronic devices in sight, and people are using candles for light."

And I was thinking I'd be sitting comfortably in hell, enjoying a cold beer. But that's clearly not happening. By now, my entire plan must have already gone into motion.

Sagar begins reminiscing about the days when his life first started to fall apart. He remembers that day vividly, the day he was filled with anger yet hope. He had prepared an excellent presentation that he was certain would guarantee his promotion.

Sagar, humming a cheerful tune, sat at his desk when his friend Ranvijay approached him, saying, "What's up with you today? You never look this happy. Usually, you walk into the office like a lifeless corpse."

Showing him a pen drive, Sagar said, "This is the reason for my happiness." Surprised, Ranvijay asked, "What do you mean?" Sagar explained that he had put together a top-notch presentation and was confident it would seal his promotion.

Just then, a voice interrupted, "And my gold chain too!" Sagar turned to the intern, Sambhavna, and said, "Are you still making tea? You're an intern, not a peon. Who asked you to do this? Was it that bald-headed Vishal again?"

Sagar continued, "Be honest. Did he dump more pointless work on you again?" Sambhavna laughed and replied, "Sagar Bhaiya, let it go. I'm doing this willingly."

Ranvijay, picking up a cup of tea, joked, "Alright, ma'am. From today, you are officially appointed as a full-time peon!" Then he laughed and said, "I'm kidding. But see, Sagar's right."

Sipping her tea, Sambhavna responded, "First, learn to stand up for yourself, Bhaiya. Then come and give me advice."

Their chatter was interrupted by Vishal, who yelled, "Can't you three focus on your work?" The trio turned to glare at him, annoyed that the laziest man in the office was lecturing them about work.

Vishal shouted again, "Didn't you hear me?" Sagar and Ranvijay quietly returned to their tasks. Vishal then turned to Sambhavna and said, "And you, weren't you making tea ages ago? Why are you still chatting here?"

After Vishal left, Ranvijay grumbled, "That bootlicking bald pig!"

But Vishal returned and asked, "Did you say something?" Ranvijay quickly replied, "No, not at all." Vishal rubbed his bald head and added, "And Sagar, have you completed the presentation? Hand it over quickly; Mr. Ranjeet Khanna needs it immediately."

Sagar hesitated but eventually handed the pen drive to Vishal. As he walked away, Vishal said, "If you've done a good job, your promotion is guaranteed."

The next day

, Ranjeet Khanna called all the employees together and announced, "Our clients were highly impressed with yesterday's presentation. So, we've decided to promote the person who prepared it."

Ranvijay, pressing Sagar's shoulder, said, "Don't forget me after your promotion!" Sagar laughed and replied, "How could I forget you? You're my best friend."

From the back, Sambhavna quipped while sipping tea, "And my gold chain too!"

Laughing, Sagar said, "Yes, yes, little one, how could I forget you?"

Sagar was still smiling when Ranjeet Khanna called Vishal forward and said, "Vishal, you did an excellent job. Keep up the good work, and congratulations on your promotion!"

Ranvijay cursed under his breath, "That bastard!" and glanced at Sagar. But Sagar had already lowered his head, clenching his fists tightly.

A little while later, Vishal entered the washroom and saw Sagar standing there. Before Vishal could say anything, a powerful punch landed on his face, knocking him down.

Sagar climbed on top of him and began punching him relentlessly. For five minutes straight, Sagar pounded Vishal's face, leaving it swollen and bruised.

Breathing heavily, Sagar said, "Listen to me. I've tolerated you for far too long. If you ever cross the line again, remember the consequences." He then grabbed Vishal's head and dunked it into the toilet before flushing it.

Dusting his hands off, Sagar said, "Now I'm a chill guy."

As he exited the washroom, Ranvijay, standing nearby, handed him a handkerchief and said, "Here, wipe the blood off your hands. Sometimes, watching you makes me think you're no less than a gangster."

Ranvijay added, "You used to let things slide before. What changed today?"

Sagar replied, "Today, he crossed all limits."

Ranvijay said, "Don't you think you should have said something to everyone about what happened? You could've told them that you prepared the presentation, not him."

Sagar shook his head and said, "It wouldn't have made a difference. Everyone would've sided with Vishal anyway."

Ranvijay nodded in agreement, "True. That scoundrel knows how to play his cards."

Sagar returned home to find the door locked. Confused, he heard a voice behind him say, "Here's your money."

Turning around, he saw Shivani and asked, "Hey, Shivani, didn't you go to the hospital today?" Shivani replied, "None of your business."

"Here's the money," she said and started walking away. While leaving, she added, "Thank you so much for your help back then."

Sagar replied, "It was no big deal. Your little brother is like a younger brother to me." He then asked Shivani, "By the way, do you know where Renu is?"

Shivani responded, "She's out with her boyfriend."

Sagar, now angry, said, "What nonsense are you talking about? That joke wasn't funny at all." Shivani replied, "You may not know this, but your wife is having an affair with someone else."

Sagar warned, "Don't you dare say such things again." Saying this, he angrily unlocked his door and went inside.

Sagar was extremely troubled because two days had passed, and his wife still hadn't returned. Whenever he called her, she kept saying she was at her mother's house.

The next day, Sagar received divorce papers. He was left in shock, unable to understand what was happening.

Suddenly, he got a call from Ranvijay, who yelled, "Sagar, come to the office immediately! There's a big problem here." Sagar asked, "What happened?" Ranvijay replied, "That dog Vishal is accusing you of stealing ₹50,000."

Later that evening, Sagar was wandering the streets, drunk, recalling everything that had happened earlier in the day. He remembered how he was called to the office, not given a chance to explain himself, and was thrown out. He kept shouting that he hadn't stolen anything, but no one was willing to listen.

A Month Later

Someone knocked on the door.

Sagar, holding a bottle of alcohol, stumbled to open it. He barely lifted his head and drunkenly asked, "Who is it?"

It was Shivani, who said, "So, you're still alive." Looking around, she commented, "What a mess you've made of this place."

Shivani pushed him aside and said, "How long are you going to sulk here like a pig after your divorce? I'm cleaning up this place, so stay out for the next three hours."

Sagar tried to compose himself and said, "Hey, this is my house! What am I supposed to do until then?"

Shivani yelled, "Go meet one of your friends, but don't bother me."

A While Later

Sagar was standing outside Ranvijay's house. As he was about to enter, he heard Ranvijay laughing loudly. Sagar froze in his tracks. Inside, a girl said, "You're such a scoundrel. You stole the money yourself and framed Sagar for it."

Ranvijay replied, "There's no point talking about it now. Let's just enjoy ourselves."

Sagar felt an overwhelming urge to storm inside and beat Ranvijay to a pulp. But controlling his anger, he walked away.

While walking down the street, a truck nearly hit Sagar. He was frozen in place, unable to move, but the truck stopped just in time. The driver shouted, "Are you crazy? Out of all the trucks in the world, you chose mine to die under?"

Sagar apologized and walked away. Just then, another car hit him, throwing him to the ground. Slowly, everything around him faded to black.

When Sagar opened his eyes, he found himself in a hospital. A familiar face appeared before him.

Half-conscious, Sagar mumbled, "Shivani, are you the one who brought me here?"

Annoyed, Shivani replied, "Why would I carry a drunk like you? Thank that woman who brought you here. Otherwise, you'd still be lying on the street."

Two Days Later

As Sagar was about to be discharged from the hospital, the doctor came over and said, "Sagar."

Sagar, puzzled, asked, "What happened?"

The doctor hesitated before saying, "I'm sorry to inform you, but you don't have much time left." He handed Sagar a medical report.

Sagar softly asked, "How much time do I have?"

The doctor replied, "Six months at most. Unfortunately, there's no cure for your condition."

Hearing this, Sagar let out a faint laugh, "Ah."

Just then, the doctor added, "By the way, the woman who brought you here is waiting outside."

Sagar turned to see a woman pushing a wheelchair with a girl sitting in it, moving toward him. Sagar froze in place, and the only word he could utter was, "Sambhavna!"

He sprinted toward the wheelchair and anxiously asked, "What happened, my sister? What happened to you?"

The woman pushing the wheelchair asked, "Are you Sagar?"

Sagar turned to the doctor, grabbed his collar, and shouted, "What happened to her? Tell me, what happened to her?"

The doctor calmly warned, "Mr. Sagar, please control yourself, or I'll have to call security. Both her legs are broken, and she has lost her mental stability due to trauma."

Sagar, now filled with anguish, asked in a heavy voice, "How did this happen? How did this happen?"

He then started punching the wall repeatedly with such force that the white wall was soon stained with his blood.

The doctor yelled, "Somebody stop him!"

After reliving these memories, Sagar snapped back to the present.
