The Party

*i love you…you love me…we're a happy fam* I started laughing. "Fuck!" Draco said, pulling his phone out his pocket. "What!?" Draco barked. He talked for a moment in Italian. I was laying on the ground laughing when the others walked up. Draco was straddling me. Lily looked at me and started giggling "Why are you laughing?" "BARNEY!" I laughed. "OKay, We'll be there soon. I'm gonna kill you for setting that to your ringtone. You just killed Sophia." Draco huffed, hanging up. He leaned down and kissed me again, stopping my laughing momentarily.

He pulled me up and we walked back to the vehicles. Draco led me to the motorcycle not in the truck and handed me a helmet. I lifted an eyebrow at him. "I've never been on one." I confessed. "First time for everything." Draco shrugged. I took the helmet and put it on my head. Draco tightened the strap and helped me on the bike. He slid on behind me and started the bike. We pulled out of the parking lot with the others behind us.

The buildings blurred by. The colors were amazing. In the night the way the moon and street lights bounced off the world was mystical. We pulled into the hospital parking lot to find the rest of the football team and cheer squad already there. Draco helped me off the bike and took the helmet off me. I ran my hand through my hair and we walked inside.

Vic walked up the desk to ask what room. A nurse led us to Jason's room. 'DON'T TOUCH ME!!!' 'DUDE! They're just doing their job!' There were 2 nurses fighting Jason from giving him a shot. Mason was trying to calm him down but it wasn't working. We walked in the room and I could feel Draco tense beside me. I stepped towards Jason, sidestepping the nurses and snatching the shot. I stepped right in front of Jason and smiled. "Sleep my love." I said as I stuck him with the shot. He fell and Mason caught him.

I spun around and handed the shot back to the nurse. "Sorry, force of habit. Jumpy patients are dangerous." I shrugged. "You move like Lady Guinevere. Who are you?" One of the nurses asked. "Awe You know Lady G? I haven't seen her in years. Mom and I worked under her for a bit the summer before middle school." I smiled. "...There's only one person who calls her that and gets away with it." The nurse stuttered. "Yup Sophia Ava Murra. Nurse Murra reporting for duty. Otherwise known as the Mad Nurse." I smiled.

The nurses put Jason back in the bed and hooked him back up to everything. "What happened?" Draco growled. Mason shrunk. "His nerves got the better of him. You know how he is about hospitals." Mason explained. Draco's anger could be felt through the whole room. I reached out and grabbed Draco's hand and leaned into his arm. "So he has nosocomephobia. Then keep him sedated or high enough he doesn't know the truth. What he'll be in here for 3, maybe 4 days?" I shrugged.

They all looked at me like I was speaking gibberish. "It's funny you think he'll last a night here." Mason said. "No it's funny a queer just took him down." I mumbled. The room froze. Draco took a deep breath then said "I take it you're the one who pointed a knife at Jason, you were with Travis that day." I nodded. Draco looked at Jason and sighed. "Sorry he doesn't think before he speaks." "All good. I'm surprised he didn't realize it when we met at the cafe." I shrugged.

Draco spoke to the nurses and it was decided he would only stay tonight and be released after lunch tomorrow. Kyle and Kevin stayed with Jason while the rest of us left to celebrate the win. Lily hopped in with the girls and Mason rode the second motorcycle. It was a quick ride to Draco's house. Well maybe mansion was a better word. His place was huge.

It looked to be one of the oldest houses downtown. It had the original columns and windows. Though you could tell they updated some of it. It was gorgeous. We parked and walked around back where the party had already started. There was a big bonfire, an open bar both in the pool and out and more drinks in the pool house. People were drinking, smoking and doing other drugs. The music was loud and drinks had no end. Draco handed me a drink and lit a bowl with Mason.

I sipped on my beer as I just watched the party unfold. "You smoke?" Draco asked. I shook my head fast. "NO! I've always done sports or dance. Random drug test, you know?" I shrugged. "...But you're not doing sports this year right." Mason asked. I cut my eyes at him. "I'm good. Maybe next time." I declared. Draco handed off the joint and wrapped his arms around me. "All good. We won't force you." He said into my neck. Mason shrugged and hit the joint before passing it around.

It was about 10 pm at night now. The party was pumping. Draco kept at least one arm around me the whole time. Mason would stay with me the few times Draco stepped away. It was nice to get away from my family drama for a while. The girls drank with me and they all smoked, but no one tried to pressure me into joining them. We had a great time. It got closer to midnight and Draco pulled me closer to the fire. We sat on one of the chairs with me on his lap.
