All Hands On Deck! (2)

He didn't know how powerful this formidable Beastmaster was, nor did he understand the extent of his talents or the magical beasts capable of wielding such incredible skills.

The sea around them had turned a deep crimson as the chaotic waves spread the carcasses of the slain beasts throughout the water.

Then, without warning, a deafening roar echoed through the air.

The Salt Rock Shelter Leader drew his attention towards the direction of the roar, and an enormous fish with stripped yellow skin and a white, black spot, several times bigger than his magical beast in the ocean, swimming towards the direction of the bloody sea.

A shiver flowed through his spine when he caught sight of the enormous beast. Its jaws were filled with sharp, jagged rows of teeth, seemingly capable of tearing apart his beast in one bite.

The bloody sea had obviously been the catalyst that had drawn such an enormous, formidable beast towards their location.

His frown deepened, and he gritted his teeth in frustration as he realised that his magical beast was in the path of the direction the enormous beast was charging in.

'Was this also part of their plan?' the Salt Rock Shelter Leader thought, grinding his teeth harder. The escalating situation made it difficult for him to think clearly and devise a solution.

He wanted to call back his magical beast but realised that doing so would attract the fearsome predator to his ship, which had been following his beast from a distance.

In an instant, the situation had turned desperate; he now had to consider whether to save his tamed magical beast or ship.

The Salt Rock Shelter Leader shot a glare at Zuriel before commanding the crane to turn around and soar back toward the direction of his ship. He couldn't continue the pursuit against Zuriel without the ship's assistance.

He needed enough time to retrieve his ship before he could also summon his magical beast and escape.

Meanwhile, within the blue electrical dome that electrocuted and destroyed everything in its path, the ship sailing against the raging storm remained eerily silent.

All the crew members stared at the barrier, their mouths agape in disbelief, unsure if what they witnessed was real.

"Such a powerful skill," Finn muttered, swallowing hard as he redirected his gaze away from the electrical dome and focused on Zuriel, who was currently in his transformed state. He had never expected Zuriel's magical beast to possess such a formidable skill.

Finn finally understood the source of Zuriel's confidence. It had seemed like an empty, prideful boast, but now it was clear that Zuriel had the means to escape from the Salt Rock Shelter Leader's grasp and had proven it.

Finn was now sure that Zuriel had been hiding his strength all along, but he could only speculate about what other abilities Zuriel had hidden. The thought of them was overwhelming, especially after witnessing the frightening skill he had just unleashed.

"What was that?" Finn asked, his heart racing as a powerful beastly roar resounded. He looked behind and saw an enormous beast, several times larger than the large fish, chasing them on the trail of blood they had left behind in the distance.

"It's none of our business because the Salt Rock Shelter leader will help us handle it. Hopefully, this will teach them that there is always a bigger fish in the ocean, so if he wants to bully someone, he should also be prepared to be bullied," Zuriel swiftly responded.

Finn swiftly processed his Captain's words and nodded firmly. He realised the third son of the Zahara Household was a genius way ahead of his peers and understood why the Head of the Zahara Household had sent him out alone on the treacherous seas. It was because he trusted in his son's capabilities.

Finn was sure this would improve the crew members' reverence for Zuriel, so this was a good development.

Poison Philip was equally astonished by the terrifying display of power that rendered him unable to speak or move. His magical beast cowered beside him, trembling in fear for the same reasons, while the beastly roars echoed through the air.

Meanwhile, Zuriel's eyes were locked on the Salt Rock Shelter leader, staring at him with a fierce glare.

A grin spread across Zuriel's face as he watched the Salt Rock Shelter leader retreat from the chase and return to his ship. Zuriel shifted his focus back to his crew members, who had become silent again.

Although he could blame them, he was beginning to grow annoyed with their tendency to get distracted by every sudden event around them.

"AYOH, ME HEARTIES! ALL HANDS ON DECK! THE LAST PERSON TO RETURN TO THEIR POSITION WILL BE FED TO THE BEAST OF SEA SENT BY THE REAPER OF DEATH HIMSELF!" Zuriel shouted, his voice amplified by mana, blending with the chaotic electrical dome surrounding the ship.

He had been learning a lot about beastmasters at sea and couldn't stop himself from speaking in such a way as it was one of the most effective ways of speaking to sea slaves in a way that they would understand.

As expected, it worked.

"AYYEE, AYYEE, CAPTAIN!" The crew let out a thunderous cheer in response as they hurried back to their positions, all eager to avoid being thrown off the ship.

"Finn," Zuriel called out.

"Aye, Captain," Finn swiftly replied.

"Point me in the direction of our destination," Zuriel commanded.

Finn nodded firmly. He swiftly retrieved a thick book, a scroll, and a compass from his back pocket. After opening them, he carefully studied the items and the stars before beginning to assist Zuriel in navigating their path forward.

........

Zuriel clutched his throbbing as his eyes flickered open. He looked around in confusion, realising that he was in his room. Suddenly, a rush of memories about what had transpired the previous night flooded his mind.

"So that's what happened?" Zuriel said, sighing as he rested back against his bed.
