Supreme Steward

 Jian Chen walked for a while with jian ling following him from behind, and soon they got to a secluded area, there was a building that stood right at their front, the building seemed quite normal and had no majestic sense to it.

 "A building inside a building, interesting" Jian ling muttered lightly, Now that he looked at it, the interior of the tower was really big, even though the tower did look quite tall from the outside, it was still weird as it being tall from the outside meant it was supposed to look really high and not wide, and then suddenly jian ling seemed to have realised something and he immediately lifted his head up, "Whhhaaattt", Jian chen who was beside him heard his voice and faced him, seeing his eyes were focused on something else, he traced it and found out jian ling was looking upwards, On looking up, he couldn't find what jian ling was looking at amazed as everything seemed normal to him, Jian ling after looking for a while finally uttered a word, " Skyyyyy" He paused for a moment before continuing "How is there a sky, and no sun, so whats giving the light, where the heck am i" Jian ling spoke continuously in a short tone. Jian chen couldn't hold it and immediately burst out into laughter, " You really are shallow, do you even know where you are, there are billions of martial arts supreme masters who would be wishing to step their foot into this place but it could only remain a wish and never a reality, You should be glad you even get to witness a place like this you know" After a while of laughter, he paused for a while and then said. Jian Chen words was filled with this sense of arrogant that could really make one want to beat him up, but it still didn't sound like a foolish arrogance but one that came from a high level self confidence. Jian ling looked at him for a while, before shaking his head, jian Chen noticing jian ling action paused his steps causing both of them to stop, and then he looked at jian ling face for a while, jian ling was expecting another threat or humiliation but surprisingly it didn't go as he thought as jian Chen after a little while just let out a chuckle which left jian ling in a stunned state, seeing jian ling state, he just shook his head and continued walking forward. Jian ling after a short while shook his self out of his shocked state and then joined jian Chen, upon jian ling catching up, jian Chen face turned again towards him and then forward yet again before finally speaking " You really have a lot to learn" Jian Chen spoke before walking faster and then in no time they reached their destination right at their front was a very small mountain that one could climb with only a few steps, on top of the mountain on my had a little space enough for only a person, and currently on that space an old man sat in a kneeling position with his upper body and upper part of his legs resting on the lower path.

 " You could leave us Chen'er" the old man spoke to jian Chen his tone holding a sense of heavy familiarity. " Yes supreme steward" Jian Chen said bowing before turning around and then left neither angry or feeling bad, This caused Jian ling to look at him again, he really couldn't understand him, his first opinion of him was an arrogant genius who wanted the spotlight to be only on him, but then his recent opinion, on the more definite side, he simply didn't have an opinion anymore because he just couldn't understand him.

 The old man just looked at Jian Chen back with a smile and then turned back to Jian ling, he happen to notice Jian ling action but didn't stop him, instead he choose to just let his thought run wild, after a while Jian ling face seemed to have shifted a bit which helped him notice the old man, he immediately turned his head forward back and then stared at the ceiling, it could have been a cute scene but was spoilt by Jian ling face that was cold, it could be said there was really an improvement, when he was still in the evil forest before meeting lady Xue, his face was neither cold nor happy at that moment, it was simply expressionless which was a worst scenario.

 " I can't help but wonder what you went through that put you in this state, care to share with me" The old man spoke, his tone sounding warm.

 "I would rather not" Jian ling spoke without much thought, it didn't sit right with him to start sharing his problems with a stranger he just met of recent, but he couldn't deny that the old man voice was so soothing and caring that it seems to have a magic behind it, he could tell that if not for his current situation that rendered him a bit more heartless, he was likely to have spilled the full beans.

 "Hmhphhmhmh" The old man let out a short chuckle, staring at Jian ling face, a while passed and the environment had already gained an awkward atmosphere, they stared at each other eyes, Jian ling eyes remaining expressionless and the old man's warm.

 All of a sudden the old man seem to have disappeared from where he was which left Jian ling shocked, he really couldn't tell when the old man left the mountain, and then suddenly a plan rested on his shoulder, Jian ling immediately turned and saw the old man, The old man smirked at Jian ling before speaking, "Walk with me" And then he removed his hands from Jian ling shoulder and walked towards a direction.

 "UHHNNNNNN" Jian ling after a short while of shock snapped out of it and ran after the old man while opening his mouth to let out an exclamation.
