"Have you seen Melody come to our dorm?"
What a question!
I looked up at Jaxon.
This time he only said: "I..."
Not waiting for him to finish, in my panic, I stood up and straddled his legs, wrapping my arms around his neck.
Jaxon tried to push me away, but I pressed tightly against his ear, saying without room for refusal: "Jaxon, tell them I'm not here."
As my nails dug into his neck, I also felt the searing heat.
Jaxon's veins bulged, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
I tilted my head back to look at him, and he lowered his gaze to me.
In the depths of his eyes, desire swirled.
"No, I've been in the dorm the whole time."
"She didn't come here, you should ask someone else."
Jaxon swiftly hung up the phone, tossing it aside, his long, strong fingers reaching to grab my waist.
He gripped me hard, yanking me into his embrace.
An overwhelming wave of heat engulfed me, my ears buzzing, instinctively wanting to escape this suffocating inferno.
Jaxon held me even tighter.
"Melody."
His voice was hoarse, his breath washing over my ear, as if igniting every pore on my body.My reflexes screamed to shrink away, to dodge these kisses.
But in the next instant, my lips were captured.
"Don't tempt me... I don't want to touch you here."
Jaxon's voice was low and strained.
I squirmed a bit, unsteady in my seat, left with no choice but to let him hold me.
The magma inside me stirred restlessly, as if about to erupt at any moment.
"If you don't want to touch me, then why are you kissing me?"
I asked him between gasps for air.
Jaxon bent his head slightly, his forehead against mine, our noses touching.
His eyes lowered, and he closed his eyelids.
"Also, do you even know how to kiss... my lips are swollen."
"Jaxon."
I called out his name.
Jaxon didn't open his eyes, but the hand on my waist loosened slightly.
His fingers were long, his grip strong.
Through the thin fabric of my hoodie, his grip was painful.
I frowned and reached to pry his hand away.
Unexpectedly, Jaxon intertwined our fingers, murmuring softly, "Melody, don't move. I'll be gentler this time."
Jaxon's hand moved lower, supporting my lower back, slowly nestling me into his embrace. This kiss lasted for a long time. Jaxon eventually lost control, kissing with particular ferocity.
During a moment to catch our breath, I patted him and opened my mouth to bite him.
"Melody."
Jaxon called my name with a husky voice, his entire body tensing up.
I felt like I was about to burst into flames from the heat of his palms.
Suddenly, Jaxon buried his face in the crook of my neck, letting out a muffled sound.
The overwhelming flood of love that had been building up came to an abrupt halt in that moment.
Yet, moments later, it threatened to overflow once again.
Jaxon gently pushed me, coaxing me to stand up.
I looked down at him, only to find his expression was rather strange.
