Chapter 13: Mo Bufan Like a Heavy Hammer

"I can't go on; I've been shot multiple times, and there are just too many people here. It's impossible to escape!"

"Tao Ruisi, your martial arts skills are the best—get out of here as soon as you can and report the situation to the King!"

"No!"

"We'll fight together; we'll get out of here together!"

Tao Ruisi and Du Fei had over ten years of friendship, facing life and death side by side. Because of this, she didn't want to escape alone and leave Du Fei here to die.

"Listen to me, get out quickly and tell the King what's happening here!"

"You little bastards, your grandpa Du Fei is here—come on!"

Du Fei said this, enduring the pain, grabbed two pistols, and charged forward.

"Bang, bang!"

With the sound of several gunshots, Du Fei fell, riddled with bullets like a sieve.

Tao Ruisi couldn't bear to watch any longer. She threw several darts, killed a few police officers, and leaped away to escape the bar.

"What a hero, sacrificing himself for others!"

"This man was truly honorable."

Li Yun, who was watching the screen, nodded at Du Fei's self-sacrifice to cover Tao Ruisi's retreat. Though he was ultimately an enemy, Li Yun respected his bravery. Out of respect for such an opponent, Li Yun decided not to leave his body abandoned on the battlefield.

"Ding! Due to the host's actions, Du Fei, Mo Bufan's subordinate, has been killed. The host gains 10 Luck Points from Mo Bufan and 1,000 Villain Points."

"The host now has 230 Luck Points and 19,000 Villain Points."

Hearing the system notification, Li Yun smirked with disdain.

Only 10 Luck Points and 1,000 Villain Points? That's it?

Clearly, to Mo Bufan, women mattered more than his brothers, especially being someone so shallow.

"Du Fei!"

"My brother!"

Seeing this, Mo Bufan, his eyes bloodshot, was filled with rage. He had never wanted to kill someone more.

His own brother, his own subordinate, had died because of Li Yun!

"Li… Yun… kill!"

"I will kill you!"

Mo Bufan yelled in fury, spitting out each word.

"Kill me?"

"I'm right here; come and kill me if you've got the guts."

Li Yun opened his arms, daring him to strike.

"How dare you kill in front of us? Do you take us for fools, all of us police officers?" the head of the criminal police shouted angrily.

If Li Yun were genuinely hurt by this guy, his own job might be on the line.

"Look at this guy losing his cool. It reminds me of a strange disease—rabies!"

"I think this guy has rabies. We should take him to the hospital for a check-up so he doesn't start biting people." Li Yun commented casually.

The head of the criminal police took the opportunity to agree: "Yes, he does seem rabid. We should make sure he gets a thorough examination to prevent any issues."

"When he's checked out, make sure to muzzle him so he doesn't bite any of you. That would be a real problem," Li Yun added, mocking Mo Bufan.

"You're the one who has rabies! Your family has rabies! Li Yun, don't think I don't know what you're up to! With so few tricks, how do you plan to beat me? That's a fantasy! I'll make you suffer till the end!" Mo Bufan shouted in rage.

Mo Bufan, as the protagonist with his protagonist's halo, always got what he wanted, but in front of Li Yun, he faced nothing but defeat.

Seeing his brother dead at Li Yun's hands and now being humiliated was intolerable.

"A rabid dog biting isn't strange, but he's still just a dog. I'm not impressed," Li Yun commented dismissively.

"Let's talk about life and ideals; much more enjoyable," Li Yun said as he took Gu Yanyan by the shoulder, leaning against her, ignoring Mo Bufan.

Gu Yanyan tried to pull away, but Li Yun held her firmly, giving her a warning look.

It seemed as if he were saying, "If you dare to move, don't blame me for what happens."

Gu Yanyan, terrified of Li Yun, could only stay still, letting him do as he pleased.

The scene looked like a man lounging on his girlfriend, enjoying her tenderness.

Even the head of the criminal police took the chance to compliment the couple.

"Li Yun!"

"I'll kill you!"

Gu Yanyan was the woman Mo Bufan desired, and seeing her being intimidated by Li Yun was unbearable for any man.

It was something he couldn't stand, and it wasn't surprising that Mo Bufan, even though he couldn't beat Li Yun, charged at him out of sheer male pride.

"Heh, well done," Li Yun said, smiling.

As Mo Bufan approached, Li Yun stopped moving, and multiple shadows swirled around him. Before Mo Bufan could locate them, an unstoppable force hit him, and though he tried to defend himself, the power difference was clear.

With a single strike, Li Yun sent Mo Bufan flying.

Before Mo Bufan could react, another kick sent him flying once more.

In a series of swift moves, others saw only shadows, watching as Mo Bufan was flung through the air.

"Crash!"

A loud sound echoed as Mo Bufan hit the ground, leaving a mark in the concrete.

Mo Bufan was gravely injured!

"Still want to keep going? Arrest him! Cuff and shackle him, and if he resists, take him down on the spot!"

Seeing Mo Bufan's condition, the head of the criminal police immediately ordered his arrest.

The internal injuries Li Yun had inflicted left Mo Bufan with no strength to resist. He could only let himself be taken by the police.

"President Li, thank you for your help. If you hadn't intervened, this criminal would have escaped, and many innocent people would have died at his hands."

The head of the criminal police rushed to thank Li Yun, flattery in his tone.

"Captain, it's nothing. With a criminal like this, even ordinary handcuffs and shackles wouldn't hold him. Be careful! If he stops resisting, things could get worse," Li Yun replied.

"President Li, don't worry; these are specially forged iron handcuffs. There's no key—no matter how strong he is, he won't be able to escape."

"Perfect, then I'll leave this in your hands. I'm taking my dear Yanran to do some physiological research. I won't stay here for sightseeing," Li Yun said aloud, making sure Mo Bufan could hear him.
