"Twilight, Caelus, let's go!"
After learning that both Twilight and Caelus had decided to board the train and continue their journey with them, March 7th's excitement was uncontainable. She excitedly pulled the two towards the resource replenishment compartment.
"Although the universe is so vast, after we leave, this little train will be your home! And since it's home, making your living space suit your preferences is super important!"
"Although the train has ample resources and will resupply on each planet, those are ultimately just backup supplies, you definitely won't like them! It just so happens that we haven't left the space station yet, so you should quickly buy all the things you like."
"Our train's next stop is always a case of 'whatever will be, will be.' It might be a prosperous commercial planet, but it could also be a resource-scarce doomsday world… Just in case, absolutely don't miss this opportunity!"
"So, let's go shopping!" March 7th waved her small hand. "Don't worry, Himeko will foot the bill for everything~"
"You say you're going to help us pick things out, but why do I feel like you just want to go shopping yourself…" Caelus looked at March 7th, whose inner abacus was practically clattering loudly, and couldn't bear to expose her flimsy excuse.
"Hehe, it won't delay anything, it won't delay anything…" March 7th giggled. "Shopping is one of life's great pleasures, too bad this space station isn't exactly a commercial center. We can only pick some things from their procurement department—if only one day we could go to a place like Pinecone and shop to our hearts' content~"
"March 7th's dream is to shop in… Pinecone Soup?" To Caelus and March 7th's surprise, on the way to the procurement department, Twilight, who had been silently listening to them as usual, suddenly asked about March 7th's dream.
"It's Penacony, not Pinecone Soup… It's a very large planet, not something you eat." March 7th smiled and rubbed Twilight's little head.
Unlike Caelus, who was taller than her, always contradicted her, and didn't show any respect for his senior, Twilight was not only small and cute, but also very well-behaved.
Aside from being a teeny bit dangerous, she had no flaws at all, practically the perfect junior in her mind!
This head feels so nice to touch~
"It's a very prosperous planet, completely different from the Herta Space Station, you know? I remember hearing Himeko and Uncle Yang mention that they'll be going there to participate in some event in the planned itinerary… If I could shop there to my heart's content, just thinking about it is exhilarating!" March 7th smacked her lips, seemingly imagining how pleasant it would be.
"Unfortunately, that place is also a famous money pit. I don't think I'll ever earn that much money in my life…"
"I understand." Under the puzzled gazes of March 7th and Caelus, Twilight pulled out a small notebook from somewhere, grabbed a pen, and started writing something down.
"March 7th's dream is to happily shop in Penacony until she's satisfied."
"No need to be so serious, I was just joking. I have tons of dreams, you know~" March 7th waved her hand. "Why did you suddenly think of writing this down?"
"I'll help March 7th achieve it later…" After scribbling on the paper, Twilight looked at her notebook, a look of pride and joy finally appearing on her face. "Plan target confirmed."
"This is…?" March 7th craned her neck to look at Twilight's notebook, then sadly discovered that she couldn't understand it at all, because what Twilight wrote weren't words, but stick figures in an abstract style.
She pointed shakily at a pink figure that seemed to be lifting a barbell while standing in a soup bowl, and asked in disbelief, "This… couldn't be me, could it?"
She's not some abstract Hot Kid like this!
However, March 7th's sadness didn't affect Twilight's honesty at all. She pointed at the figure and said that it was March 7th, then pointed at the barbell in the figure's hand, explaining that it was actually March 7th's shopping bag, and the soup bowl was naturally Pinecone, which was mentioned last time.
"Such amazing drawing skills…" Caelus stroked his chin, nodding in admiration. "Perfectly captured March's demeanor!"
"My demeanor isn't this abstract, okay…"
March 7th now only felt sadness. She should have known—as the saying goes, one takes on the colors of one's company. No matter how excellent a junior Twilight was, how could she learn to respect her by hanging out with Caelus every day?
Especially since Twilight practically followed Caelus in everything, March 7th could practically see her future of being teased by these two in their comedy routines…
Feeling that her future was bleak, March 7th could only redirect her attention to the present: "What's this notebook, little Twilight? Why do you want to help me fulfill my wishes?"
Hmph, finally getting to the point. If you didn't ask, I would've had to explain it myself!
Although grumbling inwardly, Twilight's face wore an expression even more innocent than a pure and beautiful goddess.
"This is what Himeko gave me…" Twilight hugged the notebook as if it were some kind of treasure. "Himeko said that everyone has their wishes… but I don't seem to have anything I want to do. Himeko said I can first see what everyone's dreams are, write them down in this notebook, and then help them… When this notebook is full, I'll know what I want."
"So I want to ask everyone what they want first, then write it down and fulfill it…"
"I see…" March 7th nodded thoughtfully. After all, Twilight was still just a baby, it was normal for her not to understand what she truly wanted in life.
But then she smirked and said confidently, "Then you've found the right person today, Twilight—I may not have much else, but I have plenty of daydreams! Don't worry, I'll fill half your notebook for you today~"
"Wait, March, isn't this cheating?!" Caelus quickly stopped March 7th, who was about to run off with Twilight in her arms. "I don't think that's what Himeko meant."
It seemed like Himeko wanted Twilight to see different people and understand her own way of life from them—what was the point of it becoming a collection of March 7th's daydreams!
"Caelus, as the saying goes, where there's no rule, there's freedom. Since Himeko didn't say no, it means my approach is perfectly reasonable."
Twilight had to understand people anyway, wouldn't understanding her be the same?
It was just understanding her a little more deeply and helping her fulfill a few more daydreams along the way… Hehehe, with Twilight's combat power, her dreams might actually come true~
And after understanding her deeply, maybe she wouldn't team up with Caelus to tease her, but instead become her teammate and tease Dan Heng and Caelus together!
Thinking of this, March 7th, her face beaming with joy, couldn't hold back any longer. She hugged Twilight and ran off in a flash, leaving Caelus standing there bewildered.
She just ran off like that? Didn't she say she was going to take me shopping? She could at least take me there before running off…
Sighing, Caelus didn't chase after March 7th, after all, this was her true personality. March 7th didn't know that Twilight only had a year to live. Himeko and the others hadn't told her, so that the sentimental March 7th could interact with Twilight normally… just like now.
And the notebook Himeko gave Twilight, although not thick… Twilight's time was too short.
So short that Caelus felt that, with conventional methods, it might never be filled.
If, in the end, she was still chasing other people's dreams, then Twilight would be too pitiful… March 7th stirring things up might actually help Twilight realize her own self sooner.
After all, a fool's energy was always easily contagious…
