The Imprintee

"You are not supposed to be here, bloodsucker."

Sebastian gulped.

He could feel the power and tension from the new male but he felt anger surging once his eyes landed to where the new male was holding on.

"Let go of him! He's mine!"

His voice echoed throughout the forest, making Timothy stop in his tracks and looked curiously at the vampire before shifting his gaze to the teenager beside him.

The Alpha's mind stopped and blinked amicably at the sudden realization that hit him.

"Lucas."

The young man looked at him with worried eyes, while the vampire had heard the name of the man that he just started stalking.

Oh, so that was his name.

Lucas.

A small smile appeared on Sebastian's face as he liked how the name rolled around his lips.

"Run back to the cabin, you know where that is, right? We'll talk there."

Lucas curiously looked back at the direction of the vampire before nodding towards his future Alpha leader.

"Okay."

Through his eyes, Sebastian followed Lucas as he ran down away from where they were and out of his sight.

He clenched his teeth as he watched the retreating figure of Lucas. He tried to take a step forward but the new male in front of him was looking at him.

Timothy, being the true Alpha, took a step forward — his feet nearing the treaty line.

"Get back where you came from, Reed. Your parents were probably worried already, knowing how close your bonds are."

Sebastian, who just hit at the memory of what happened from the previous days on his first encounter with the giant wolves, took a step back.

His eyes never left Timothy's. "But I need to talk to him."

The older Alpha sighed and cleared his throat — making his voice sound softer so he wouldn't spook the vampire.

"I know questions keep swirling into your mind but you have met him too early. Even if you question him now, you will not receive any answer from him. So, please. Wait for a few days before approaching again."

As soft as a whisper, Sebastian nodded in understanding. He felt his heart ache yet he knew that this was not the time for that.

"I understand."

Alpha Timothy gave him a tight-lipped smile and watched the vampire disappear through the forest and towards the misty section of La Ber.

"Oh, this would be a huge problem. I wonder how the hell it happened."

Alpha Timothy walked away from the treaty line and towards the direction of his small cabin.

At the cabin, Maximus and Lucian were waiting for Evelyn to finish cooking fifteen pancakes, seven and a half for each of them when they smelled the scent of Lucas.

"Is that Lucas?" Maximus asked, ears perked up and listening to the silent breathing and lovely humming of their best friend.

"What is he doing here?" Lucian, who was grabbing the mountain of plates of pancakes from Evelyn slowly placed them onto the table.

"Lucas is here? Where?"

As soon as Evelyn finished the question, Lucas emerged from the bushes and into the line of sight of everyone inside the cabin.

A smile plastered on the young man's face upon seeing his friend as well as Evelyn.

"Max! Lucian! Oh, Evelyn! You guys are here!"

The young man skipped through his steps and hugged Evelyn upon reaching the kitchenette.

"What are you guys doing?" Lucas, who frantically tried not to smother Evelyn with TLC looked at his friend with a huge grin on his face.

Instead of answers, he saw Evelyn pointing at the mountain of pancakes in front of his friends.

"Oh." Lucas made a face of grimace that made Evelyn laugh out loud. "Oh dear boy, you will be like that soon."

Lucas shivered at the thought but considering the size of both of his friends, it would be possible.

"So, what are you doing here? It's so unlikely for you to be here, Lucas."

Lucas looked at Maximus, whose pancakes were already downsized to half.

"Alpha Timothy asked me to. No reason whatsoever."

Evelyn hummed in response. "Are you sure?" Lucian, who was now drinking some lemonade, asked him with a teasing tone.

"You sure it was not because you caught yourself in trouble?"

Lucas shook his head, unsure of the exact reason why Timothy asked him to stay at the cabin.

"Not sure, although he did say that he would talk to me about something."

A white lie. He knew what it was about but too scared to admit it in front of his friends.

Lucian and Maximus stopped eating and looked at each other with eyes wide open. But before they could ask, Timothy emerged from the back door with water dripping from his hair.

"Goodness Timothy! Did you jump off the cliff again?"

Timothy only smiled and kissed Evelyn on the lips. He turned his attention to the two giant boys on the dining table rolling his eyes away before looking at Lucas.

"So, care to tell me what you got yourselves into, Lucas?"

Lucas, who was more alarmed now, looked at Evelyn or his friends for help. "Lucas?"

Maximus looked up from his food and watched as the interaction happened like it was a movie that he had been wanting to watch.

Timothy's voice was now a bit softer. He wanted to know if he was right and he wanted to make sure that it came from Lucas.

As an assumption would not be heard by any elder in their clan if he ever told them about this.

"I-uhm..."

A long sullen silence caught Lucas' throat, feeling like a huge lump got stuck in his throat.

"It's okay. I am not mad. Even if I want to, nothing will change."

Lucas nodded, heaving a deep breath and tremblingly exhaling it as he removed the idea of Timothy lying at him.

"I don't know how it happened. But when our eyes met, I..." Lucas trailed in. Not sure how he would explain what happened when he first met him.

He looked at Timothy, who was encouraging him to speak up. Lucas closed his eyes, took another deep breath, and spoke.

"I-I think I already imprinted with someone."

Silence filled the room then the clanging of utensils resounded throughout the whole cabin as Lucian and Maximus gaped. Evelyn gasped at the sudden realization, confirming Timothy's observation from earlier.

The older Alpha was about to speak when Lucian and Maximus screamed, "YOU DID WHAT?!"
