"Are you still in love with Ace?!"

Ace's pulse pounds against his skull.

"What the hell does that mean?" His voice is sharper now, demanding. "If it's about me, I have a right to know. Let me see it."

Kieran doesn't move. His grip tightens around the crumpled paper, fingers curling as if the words on the paper might escape if he loosens his hold.

Ace steps closer. "Kieran."

No response.

His frustration spikes into something hotter.

He reaches forward, but Kieran takes a step back.

Ace stills. His voice drops lower, more dangerous. "Are you really doing this?"

Kieran's jaw clenches, but his expression remains unreadable. "It's not worth reading, not important, so ignore it."

Ace lets out a short, humorless laugh. "Ignore it?" His fingers twitch at his sides. He's shaking. He doesn't know if it's anger, fear, or something worse. "Well, am sorry I can't ignore it! Not when it's about me and definitely not when it's about Jun!"
