Light had told her what had happened in a very short time, and even though Elise couldn't believe her ears, she still felt that Jack should be punished.

Jack was ready to accept anything, he just wanted mercy as he had done to Elise and the others, that is, not to die and that those he had fought to protect should live.

Elise didn't want to accept this offer at first, but there was nothing to be done, if Light would accept it, she would accept it.
