The Dinner Trap

Chapter 54: The Dinner Trap

Diane barely had time to process the principal's words about Gabriel's sister's children before she found herself facing another battle—this time, with Gabriel himself.

"We're going to dinner," he announced that evening, adjusting his cufflinks as he stood near the mirror in their shared home.

Diane crossed her arms. "I don't recall agreeing to that now."

Gabriel smirked. "You don't have to."

She clenched her jaw. "You canceled last time. What's so important about this one?"

Gabriel turned to look at her, "Isla and her husband, Martin, want to formally meet you."

Diane held back a scoff. Isla wanted to meet her?

Perfect.

Because Diane had questions.

And tonight, she was getting answers.

Diane arrived with Gabriel, her posture looked poised, she was on alert about everything.

At the private table, Isla was already seated beside a man Diane assumed to be Martin.
