Suspicion

Chapter 92: Suspicions

Leon's voice had been heavy on the phone earlier that morning.

He'd informed her of the final court decision, Leon had won custody of Arthur, and the divorce was finalised with every asset and every secret falling into his lap.

"Be careful, Diane," Leon had urged in a low tone before hanging up. "There are dangerous people still circling. Watch your back."

Diane had spent the rest of the day dreading the whispers that would follow her every move.

She and Riot arrived together at work, even before stepping through the revolving doors, the murmurs had already started.

Her colleagues turned heads and exchanged glances.

As Diane walked confidently toward her office, a small smile tugged at her lips.

Rumors might stick to her like shadows, but she refused to be defined by them.

When she reached her office, Riot was waiting by the door with a freshly made cup of coffee in hand.
