“I wish I could have quit you, I wish I never missed you…” Her voice broke as she turned away, but he caught her wrist, spinning her back to face him.

“If you die in this life, let me go too, so this time I can be right there with you.” Gabriel held her tight as if to shield her from the world’s pain.

Diane crossed her arms. "And what exactly are we 'leaking' to the media?"

"A whisper about Rachel's hidden accounts. Something only a handful of people would know about. And more importantly—something that suggests there's someone still out there who knows the truth."

Leon's brow furrowed. "You want him to think Rachel was hiding more than we uncovered?"

"He's a journalist, which means he thrives on uncovering what's hidden. If we let it slip that there's a missing piece to the story, he won't be able to resist."
