Chapter 108: Set the Night on Fire
Diane managed to eliminate all her enemies from her past life, and now, she had to fight Gabriel's family.
Of course, she knew this was all set by Isla, but still. When she looked at her kids, she couldn't forget how they bullied Arthur.
She needed one more plan of how to get rid of her and her children too if it was needed.
The car ride back was silent, but the weird tension was anything but calm.
It burned, thick and heavy, filling the space between them like a spark waiting to happen.
Gabriel's grip on the wheel was tight, his jaw clenched, the muscles in his arms taut beneath the low glow of the dashboard lights.
Diane could still see the remainings of his anger—anger at his father, at the way the night had played out, at the way she had been treated.
But beneath that anger, there was something else.
Something undeniable.
Diane felt it too. The heat.
