Food and Shelter

The three members of the Worken family stared at Hiro with curiosity.

Hiro activated his Ultimate Force Telekinesis. Instead of visualizing Force Vectors originating from a single point, he reimagined them as lines acting across a plane.

He concentrated, narrowing the origin line as much as possible, then directed it along a plane perpendicular to the tree—just like an axe cutting through wood.

The experiment was a success. To the astonishment of the onlookers, Hiro felled a tree just by intently staring at it.

[Carna: 214]

His Carna, which had risen to 250 after cumming on Tara's face, had dropped to 215 following the battle with the goblin riders. Now, a single tree-cutting attempt cost him an additional point.

Shaping Force Vectors into lines was far more demanding than simply using points.

"H-How did you do that, My Lord?" Bob asked, his voice trembling with disbelief.

"You keep asking the same question again and again, Bob," Hiro replied.

Hiro wasn't done yet. One tree wouldn't suffice. This time, he visualized multiple Line Force Vectors simultaneously.

His Telekinesis ability worked in several stages—defining the initial position, shaping the vector, determining the direction, and finally setting the magnitude. Only then could the ability activate.

These parameters could be adjusted mid-use, but the process was mentally draining. The ease with which Hiro performed these things made the silently observing Carnalia, question if she was hallucinating.

'What a freak of nature…' she thought.

Hiro released the Line Force Vectors with precise force, ensuring minimal Carna wastage. Multiple trees toppled in quick succession, leaving the Worken family dumbstruck.

Hiro clapped Bob on the shoulder with a satisfied smile. "Don't get used to seeing this kind of thing. As Baron, I'll have more important things to do than helping you cut wood."

Bob nodded absentmindedly, still reeling from what he'd witnessed.

Hiro used his Telekinesis to lift the felled logs, making them hover in an orderly formation behind him. Their weight demanded a significant amount of Carna.

During these experiments, Hiro discovered that as long as there was a certain pattern to the Force Vectors, he could control multiple of them simultaneously with relative ease.

This revelation pleased him immensely. He continued to manipulate the logs, guiding them smoothly as they followed him in an orderly fashion.

"Both of you, follow me," Hiro instructed the mother and daughter pair. "Bob, keep working on the wood. We don't know when new refugees might arrive, and they'll need shelters too."

"Uuum… My Lord?" Bob mustered the courage to call out as he watched Hiro walk away.

"Yes?" Hiro replied, glancing over his shoulder.

"I'll get paid for this work, right?"

After witnessing some of Hiro's powers, Bob realized his chances of survival had improved significantly. Naturally, his thoughts turned to what he deemed the next most important thing—money.

Bob's question made Hiro pause and reflect on his Realm's Economy. Truthfully, he hadn't spent much time thinking about how to actually manage the realm. Most of his mental energy had been dedicated to getting laid.

After a moment of thought, Hiro pointed toward the floating logs and said, "I'm not going to pay you for work I'm essentially doing myself. But anyone else who wants your shelters will have to pay for them. Don't worry, I won't let them rob you."

Hiro's words reassured Bob immensely. He bowed deeply and said, "Thank you, My Lord!"

Hiro waved his hand before turning to walk back with the two women.

"Furina, good job identifying that spruce wood would be better for our current needs," Hiro praised.

He hoped to help her step out of the shadow of Bob's psychological abuse by building her sense of self-worth.

"Thank you, My Lord!" Furina beamed. Her bright smile only enhanced her allure.

Hiro nodded.

"I want the two of you to focus on food preparation. It'll be a long time before we have proper farms in our realm. Until then, we'll have to rely on foraging or hunting."

"Aren't there dead monsters in the camp, My Lord? We could eat their meat," Tara suggested.

"Monster meat is edible?" Hiro asked, raising an eyebrow.

Once again, Tara found Hiro's ignorance oddly strange. He was a Ruler at just Level 1, incredibly strong yet seemingly clueless about some basic things. It was almost as if he came from an entirely different world. What a silly thought...

Still, she answered, "It depends on the monster. Goblin meat is edible but tastes awful. The dire wolves the goblins were riding on the other hand, would be quite delicious and safe to eat."

"Well, that settles what we're eating today," Hiro said.

Before long, they arrived back at camp.

Hiro purchased the necessary tools for food preparation from the stone tablet shop. Tara took on the responsibility of skinning and cutting the dire wolves. Furina set up the fire and took charge of the actual cooking.

Meanwhile, Hiro focused on building the house.

One of the main reasons Hiro tackled the task himself was to improve his mastery of Ultimate Force Telekinesis. He made an effort to rely on the ability for every aspect of the construction.

He began by processing the wood, stripping off the outer bark and cutting the remaining sections into manageable logs.

Next, he worked on setting up the frame, tying several logs together with rope. Hiro's control had become so refined that he could even tie ropes using telekinesis.

Finally, while constructing the walls, he incorporated stalks of leaves from nearby trees along with the wood to provide additional insulation against the elements.

The ever-cloudy sky of the Desolate Lands grew darker, and the scent of approaching rain lingered in the air.

[Carna: 175]

While moving non-living objects with telekinesis was cheaper, the construction still consumed a significant amount of Carna due to the sheer number of times he had to use the ability.

Ultimately, a modest adobe was completed. Hiro used cloth from the stone tablet shop for both the door and the flooring. It wasn't perfect, but it was sufficient as a temporary solution for someone as lazy as him.

Aside from two candles, the cozy interior of his small house featured just one piece of furniture—a luxurious double bed. After all, sex was important.

Hiro stepped out of his little house to check on the mother and daughter. They had grown numb to his rapid construction speed after the first ten or twenty minutes. He approached them.

Tara's part in the cooking—skinning the animals and butchering the meat—was already finished. All that remained was for Furina to roast the meat.

Hiro rested a hand on Tara's shoulder and said, "Is your work here done? If so, I want you to come to my room."

His touch, combined with his words, sent shivers down Tara's spine. Why was he being so brazen in front of her mother?!

Hiro's desire to penetrate Tara burned intensely. He wouldn't tolerate any further interruptions.

Furina observed the interaction, her expression puzzled.

Hiro leaned closer to Tara's ear and whispered, "We'll continue from where we left off."

Tara stomped her foot and blushed, lowering her head as her gaze darted between Hiro and her mother, silently pleading with him not to talk about it in front of her mom.

"Is something going on between you two?" Furina asked, her voice laced with hesitation.

Hiro simply smiled at Tara, leaving her to do the explaining.

"I-I agreed to become his maid," Tara stammered.

"What!?" Furina exclaimed, shocked. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

Furina felt a pang of loss in her heart. It was ironic—she had been the one to urge Tara to reconsider her earlier rejection.

Given Hiro's status, looks, and strength, having a relationship with him was hardly a bad thing. She should be happy for her daughter. Yet, deep down, she felt a pang of jealousy.

"I'll talk to you about it later, Mom," Tara said. "Can you handle roasting the meat on your own?"

Furina nodded blankly. Her absent-minded reaction made Tara suspect that her mother cared about Hiro far more than she realized. Tara didn't know what to think anymore.

Her mind was consumed by thoughts of the pleasure she would soon experience. The anticipation of Hiro's enormous cock entering her tightness left her both excited and nervous.

With her mother handling the cooking, Tara followed Hiro into his makeshift house.
