Eight

"I knew you were following me, Nico." Lior mentioned as he stopped on his tracks, since he left the pack after their meeting he felt someone was following him. The alpha was done getting all the food his mate was craving off, Nico came out where his was hidden as his name was mentioned and face up the alpha in front of him. "Tell me, who ordered you to follow me?" He asked the omega, he knew the other male due to Eden. Nico just smiled and answered him. "I know you are hiding Eden, take me to him or otherwise I'll tell everyone about you." Lior just shook his head at the omega's threat. "What is it?"

"You're mates, right?" Lior immediately covered his mouth with his vacant hand and looked around to see if anyone heard them. "How did you know that?" He whispered, the omega glared and bit the alpha' hand causing Lior to let go of him. "After that night happened to you and Eden, my best friend asked me to meet him and showed me his marks." Nico explained, alpha understood it because he knew that the two had been friends since childhood, "How can you be sure that I was the one who hid him." Lior lowered his voice making sure it was only them that could hear, "You're his mate, I know Eden is safe with you so will you let him marry Victoria?" Lior shook his head as an answer, he really has no choice but to let Nico visit his mate especially Eden might get bored if he is alone in their house.

"Fine, I'll let you know where he was but for the meantime I have to get his permission first and I won't gamble that someone will know where he is." He said, Nico agreed so he said goodbye to go back to the pack and said he won't scatter everything. The alpha continues his journey towards their home, on the other hand Eden focuses himself on cooking and he didn't notice that the door was opened as a familiar hand snaked on his waist but not so tight. Lior smelled his mate's scent, he had been missing it since yesterday. "I thought you were going tomorrow?" Eden coldly said masking that he misses the other male, Lior chuckled still taking up his time to hug Eden with getting any hard punches from him. "I suddenly feel like I'm missing you these days." He muttered under his breath.

Eden wriggled himself out of Lior's arms then faced him and pushed him a little, "Just leave the things you bought on the table and go take a shower because you stink." He said while patting his nose, Lior smelled himself and he knew that he smelled good, maybe Eden is just sensitive to smells now and he had no choice but to do what his mate wanted. Unbeknownst to him, that was just Eden's excuse for Lior to leave clothes, he (Eden) seems like being addicted to his mate's scent so he is looking for it and it irritates him that sometimes Lior's left behind loses his scent used here in their house or maybe just brought by sudden his pregnancy.

Lior was done showering up and Eden also finished cooking now eating the strawberry but dipped in vinegar, Lior can't help to think how unhealthy for the baby it was but he can't argue with Eden that's why he silently sat the one in the chair next to his mate who didn't take a strawberry might get scolded. "Tell me the truth? Why did you come here this morning?" Eden asked suddenly so Lior sighed then answered. "Dad planned to stop searching for you but your father refused to so they had a fight at the meeting earlier." He started, "they thought it was a rogue attack but Victor insisted that you run away. You suddenly texted me so while they were debating I took the opportunity to sneak a reply but they caught me and someone pointed out that I broke the rule. "

"So you're here to tell me that they won't be looking for me anymore?" Eden cut him off, who wouldn't be happy that finally he could go out without checking if his old pack mates are looking for him. "No, that's not it. They are still voting for if the search for you is going to stop because they have noticed that I'm always going here that's why Dad revealed that he knows that my mate will not be an omega, my parents thought it was a human." Lior further explained, Eden laughed and said. "Surely they would be surprised if they saw me."

Lior let him laugh before speaking again, "Den, Nico caught me." The other alpha stopped and turned his head towards his mate. "What did you say?" Lior repeats what he said. "Nico caught me, I didn't know he was following me and he was asking for you, as in he was forcing me to tell him where you were. I had no choice but to tell him or he would reveal our mate's bonds." Eden facepalm himself, he almost forgot that he told Nico what happened that night and after also the bite marks. Eden technically knows his best friend was just playing with Lior when he threatened the other alpha to reveal their secrets. "He could go here, you can tell him the address but he should be alone." Lior quickly got what his mate wanted and sent Nico their address with the instructions the omega needed to do to avoid being caught.

Eden finished his snack and Lior gladly cleaned up for him because he didn't want his mate to get tired especially since he was still pregnant, he watches the other alpha played with his phone while sitting still on stool. "Do you want us to go out?" He suddenly asked, Eden raises his head and glances at the other alpha. "It's still not safe as you mentioned earlier they still don't stop searching for me." Lior sighs while whipping his hand on the clean sheets. "Just suggestions, maybe you're bored here." Eden just shook her head, "not really, when I'm not doing anything, I can still find something to distract me from."

"That's great-" they both stopped when the doorbell suddenly rang, Lior thought it was Nico but it seemed like the omega came so fast, maybe because he was excited to see Eden again. "It might be Nico, I'll open it." Presenting himself so that Eden won't be in trouble, he goes towards the door and opens it but to his dismay no one is there. Lior thinks someone is pranking them and was about to close the door when suddenly he heard a child cry, he looked down and saw a baby in a basket.
