Nectu and Zalika looked at Nectu’s humble apartment. “Um... are you sure...”
“I already told you.” She sighed. She followed Nectu to his unit. She looks around and his cat, Janika, jumped down and claimed her spot on the corner of the living room. She walks to the kitchen and bathroom.
She furrowed her brow, then continued to inspect the bathroom. It only has one toilet, shower head, and a sink. Also, a litter box. “I’m wondering if you... already prepare to stay here.”
Nectu chuckled and shook his head. “I cleaned my unit every day, just in case... I’m coming back to this place.” Zalika sat next to him, then leaned her head on his shoulder. Nectu smiled.
“It’s already been a week since... our father's funeral.” Nectu looked down. He was unsure about talking about the funeral after their father passed away. Zalika hummed. “I’m sorry, if...”
“It’s alright.” Zalika straightened her posture, then held his hand. “Can I... tell you something?” She asked.
