Chapter 73 - Battle Royale

"Welcome to Battle Royale. Today, all of the participants will face ten elimination rounds. Everyone seems to be excited about this, and to be honest, I am too.

This year, we have a lot of talented students, and I am excited to see how many of them advance to the next round.

There is a chance that students will work together to eliminate those talented participants, or the opposite may occur. We have no idea what will happen during the Battle Royale, but one thing is certain: everyone will give it their all.

The president of the examination committee is giving his speech. When he finished his speech, everyone in the battle stadium began to clap.

All of the participants are currently in waiting rooms. Regardless, they all hear the speech, which gets them fired up.

Naturally, some people did not take the speech seriously because they were confident they would win. However, not everyone is as confident as they are.

Many students are extremely nervous about the ten elimination rounds. They wanted to advance to the next round, but they lacked confidence in themselves.

Sam was not among them. Sam remains calm in the waiting room.

After a while, all of the students were notified to leave the waiting room. Before the Battle Royale begins, all participants must enter the battlefield.

Instantly, the entire crowd inside the Battle Stadium begins to clap for all of the students. They have been waiting for those students for nearly three hours, and they can finally see them.

Around 11:30 a.m., 

Sam is currently present in the waiting room. He is waiting for his chance to leave the waiting room and fight in the battle ring.

He is in Group A. Like him, all of the students in Group A are waiting for their turn. The battle royale has finally begun.

There is already a battle going on inside the battle ring. Ten students were fighting and wanted to eliminate one another.

Only the remaining five students would be able to advance to the next round. However, it is not necessary to have five students. Even if only one student remained inside the battle ring, only he would be able to advance to the next round.

The minimum number could be one, while the maximum number is five.

Sam has already looked through all of the names in group A. The good news is that Alexa and the others are not in Group A.

'I must say that my luck is quite good. None of the main characters are present in my group. So I have a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals.'

At the time, Sam was unaware that someone was staring intently at him. If he turned around, he would see that it is Simon from Base City School.

Everyone will fight inside those battle rings. There are 20 battle rings, and 50 students from each group will fight.

This would allow them to quickly finish each group's fight.

Sam is taken aback when he steps out of the waiting room. Who would have expected the Base City School to create such a banner to support him? For a brief moment, he felt awkward.

5 minutes later, 

Sam and nine other students are present in the battle ring. All of them are waiting for the referee's signal to start the fight.

"I wanted to announce the rules again.

1. No killing is permitted.

2. No illegal drugs should be used.

3. No illegal techniques should be used.

4. No potions should be used.

5. If you step outside the battle ring, you will automatically lose the match.

6. You are under our surveillance. So if you believe you can cheat, you are mistaken."

After saying all of this, the referee did not waste any more time and signaled the start of the fight.

The second round of the Battle Royale has begun. All of the students immediately demonstrate their full power. They could not show any weakness at this point, and they wanted to eliminate their opponent as soon as possible.

Some of them are strong students, while others are weak. However, these powerful students are not always the ones who advance to the next round. In many cases, a weak student has defeated a strong one.

Sam is taken aback when he realizes he is being attacked from all directions. He quickly moves away from his opponents.

Only then did he realise that the night students were attacking him. It appears that they have decided to work together to defeat him.
