"Veil of Extinction: The Rise of Necroflora"

That afternoon, they started setting up tents in a relatively safe spot. Soon after, Haera and Jae Hyun returned from their duties, looking very exhausted. As night fell, they all gathered outside around the campfire. The atmosphere grew more tense when Ji Woon approached them with some news.

"If tomorrow, 10 people from each class who go to the field fail, only 5 people will remain," Ji Woon said seriously.

Everyone in the group reacted with frustration upon hearing this. After Ji Woon left, Yumi couldn't hold back her tears and cried like a little girl. She missed home and her mother's cooking, while Seok Woo also missed the jokes that were always present at home.

Yumi and Seok Woo kept whining, trying to distract themselves from their anxiety. Ji Hoon, who had grown tired of the atmosphere, took out his phone and started checking the news. The main headline read that the virus had spread to Seoul and had already reached Busan.

Kian, Aria, and Min Joon quickly approached to watch the news with him. They all stared at Ji Hoon's phone seriously, realizing the gravity of the situation. It seemed that the military and police were preparing to divide tasks to handle the virus outbreak.

Jae Hyun, feeling anxious and wanting some peace, walked away from them to a quieter spot. There, he took out his phone and called his sister, Eun Seul.

"Eun Seul," Jae Hyun said with a slightly worried tone, "How are things over there? Is everything okay?"

Eun Seul replied calmly, "I'm fine, Jae Hyun. I'm still busy with work, there's a meeting overseas. Everything's under control here."

Jae Hyun felt relieved upon hearing that. "No wonder Ji Woon wasn't too worried," he murmured quietly, feeling a bit more at ease now that he knew his sister was safe.

On the other side, Haera was enjoying the cool night breeze by herself. She found a quiet spot away from the group, taking in the peacefulness of the night. As the wind gently blew through her hair, she started practicing some light martial arts moves, her body moving fluidly with each strike and stance.

The sound of her footsteps and the rustling of leaves were the only things breaking the silence. Haera was always the type to focus and channel her energy into something physical when she felt overwhelmed. The martial arts training helped her clear her mind and stay sharp, especially with the uncertain situation that lay ahead. She took a deep breath, centering herself before moving into another series of movements, each one precise and controlled.

Though the world around her was filled with anxiety, Haera found peace in these quiet moments alone, away from the chaos of the others.

The next morning, at 6:00 AM, the five individuals were brought to their designated spot. As they got off, the group noticed Seok Woo, Ji Hoon, Aria, Kian, Soren, Darian, and Yumi, all of whom were looking quite cynical.

Min Joon, Haera, and Jae Hyun casually observed them from the side.

Min Joon whispered, " jeoreun gaesaekki" He added, "He's a bully at school, a drinker, a smoker, and has even done drugs. Yet, unfortunately, a piece of trash like him is still alive."

Jae Hyun muttered, "geu punk saekki"

Seok Woo looked at them and asked, "Do we really have to team up with them?"

Jae Hyun smiled teasingly and replied, "I guess so."

The five individuals stood in line, tense and wary of one another. The air was thick with uncertainty as they prepared to introduce themselves. One by one, they spoke their names.

The first one, the bully, stepped forward with a scowl on his face and said, "My name is Daesung."

Next was a tall figure with a calm demeanor. "I'm Jiwoo," she said confidently.

The third person, a guy with a bit of a mysterious aura, added, "Call me Jinho."

A quiet yet intense girl followed, speaking with a slight edge to her voice, "Haeun."

Finally, a slightly older-looking man, who gave off a sense of wisdom despite his age, introduced himself. "I'm Taejin."

Each of them spoke with a mix of confidence and defiance, making it clear that they were not to be underestimated. Their names, though unfamiliar to the others, seemed to carry weight as they stood in silence, waiting for the next steps.

The leader, Ji Woon, stood firm as he addressed the group, explaining that they would need to work together as a team to survive. His tone was serious, signaling that this was no time for individual pride.

After his speech, Ji Woon left, heading to meet with his superior in the narcotics division. Ji Woon was an agent in this field, and his superior strongly advised him not to quit. "This isn't your mission," his superior warned, urging him to stick to his current assignment.

But Ji Woon responded with resolve, "I want to join the police force in this area. It's critical we eradicate all Necroflora to keep everyone safe. The military has already lost too many personnel due to the simultaneous attacks."

His superior paused, then reminded Ji Woon of the danger: "Remember, Necroflora have sharp hearing and clearer vision. They can read the movement of their targets. Once they hear or see you, they'll move faster than we can react."

Ji Woon nodded gravely, understanding the seriousness of the situation. He was determined to help put an end to the threat, knowing the stakes were higher than ever.

The next day, the training intensified. The group was split up into smaller teams for a new task: delivering food and supplies to the community. This time, Min Joon, Yumi, Kian, and Seok Woo were assigned to take on this responsibility.

The task was physically demanding, with them having to carry heavy loads through rough terrain while staying alert. Despite the grueling nature of the assignment, the group moved forward with determination, realizing how important their contribution was to the survival of the community.

Min Joon, though often cynical, couldn't help but notice the effort his teammates were putting in. Yumi struggled with the heavy load but kept pushing forward, refusing to show weakness. Kian was the most efficient, quickly navigating the path with a practiced ease, while Seok Woo remained stoic, always taking the lead and ensuring the others were keeping pace.

As they continued their journey, their cooperation and perseverance began to grow, and a sense of camaraderie started to develop, despite the tension among them. They understood that this mission was not just about completing a task but about building trust and unity in the face of the chaos that surrounded them.

While the others were still training, Daesung and Taejin decided to target Kian. They began mocking him, laughing as they pointed out his inability to do push-ups. Their taunts grew louder as they tried to get under Kian's skin, but Kian, though visibly frustrated, kept pushing himself to continue.

However, Ji Woon, noticing what was happening, immediately snapped. He was furious and his voice was sharp as he barked at the group.

"Continue with your push-ups, Kian! And you two," he pointed at Daesung and Taejin, "go over to Jae Hyun. He will train you both in proper physical conditioning."

Jae Hyun, who had been busy pounding away at the punching bag, looked up at the command. His hands were still wrapped in gloves, sweat glistening on his forehead. He didn't say a word but motioned for Daesung and Taejin to come closer.

The atmosphere grew tense as the two, not used to being put in their place, reluctantly walked over to Jae Hyun, who had a reputation for pushing people to their limits when it came to training. They knew this wasn't going to be easy. Jae Hyun's physical training was no joke—his methods were intense and strict, and they were about to experience it firsthand.

Kian, on the other hand, pushed through his frustration and tried his best to finish his set of push-ups. Despite the mocking, he focused on his task, determined to prove that he wasn't weak.

As they arrived, Jae Hyun looked at Daesung and Taejin, his gaze intense and focused. "Are you ready?" he asked, his voice calm but carrying an edge that made it clear he wasn't here to play around.

Daesung mumbled under his breath, clearly annoyed. "What nonsense is this?"

Taejin, not holding back, added with a mocking grin, "Is this the guy who's supposed to train us? I don't think he's got what it takes. Just a street punk!"

Jae Hyun, unfazed by their words, stepped forward with a mischievous smile on his face. "I'm no punk," he said, his voice darkening with a hint of threat. "But I'm much more than that, trust me," he added with a sly grin, before delivering a quick, sharp punch to Taejin's stomach.

Taejin stumbled back slightly, gasping for air, caught off guard by the force behind Jae Hyun's punch. Daesung stood frozen for a moment, not expecting such an immediate display of strength. Jae Hyun's smile remained as he watched the two catch their breath.

"I'm not here to play games," he said, voice low and firm. "Now, you'll follow my lead, or I'll make sure you regret not taking me seriously."

The atmosphere turned tense as Jae Hyun's presence made it clear that he wasn't someone to be taken lightly.

Jae Hyun crossed his arms, his eyes scanning Daesung and Taejin, who now stood silently, clearly understanding that Jae Hyun meant business. "Alright, since you two think this is a joke, let's start simple. Fifty push-ups. Now."

Daesung grumbled under his breath, but he dropped down to the ground alongside Taejin. Their movements were slow, and the frustration on their faces was evident. Jae Hyun crouched down beside them, smirking. "What's wrong? Too hard for the school bullies?"

"Shut up," Taejin muttered, struggling to keep up with the count. Jae Hyun laughed mockingly, standing back up. "If you can't handle this, you're not even fit to face Necroflora. Do you think your muscles will save you when they're ten steps ahead of you?"

As they struggled through the push-ups, Jae Hyun kept throwing commands, pushing them harder and harder. "Now, burpees. Don't stop until I say so. Move!"

The intense training continued as Jae Hyun made sure the two realized the seriousness of their situation. Despite their earlier cockiness, Daesung and Taejin were drenched in sweat, their energy draining fast under Jae Hyun's relentless supervision.

Meanwhile, in the lab,Dr. Yoon wiped the sweat off his forehead as he stared at the screen in front of him. The data on Necroflora was alarming. Their rapid evolution made them nearly impossible to contain. "Their sensory perception is increasing exponentially," Dr. Yoon murmured to his assistant, Dr. Han. "Their hearing, their sight... They're becoming more efficient predators with every passing hour."

Dr. Han adjusted his glasses, scanning the data. "And the mutation isn't slowing down. If anything, it's accelerating. The soldiers are barely holding them off."

Dr. Yoon shook his head, his expression grim. "We don't have enough manpower left. The last wave of attacks decimated most of the frontline teams. If we don't find a solution soon, it won't just be Seoul and Busan. The whole country could fall."

Suddenly, an alarm blared throughout the lab. Dr. Yoon and Dr. Han exchanged a worried look. "What now?" Dr. Yoon muttered as he turned to the monitor. The screen displayed an alert: Containment breach detected. Section 4.

Dr. Han's face went pale. "It's here..." he whispered.

Meanwhile, in another location,Dozens of heavily armed police officers surrounded an old apartment building in the middle of the city. They moved cautiously, ensuring every corner was secure from threats. Professor Lee, a scientist once involved in the Necroflora project, was now inside the apartment, mentally unstable.

"We need to be careful," whispered an officer to his team. "He's not just insane, but he knows weapons and chemicals that could be dangerous to all of us."

Inside the apartment, Professor Lee sat on the cluttered floor, surrounded by scattered research notes. His eyes were hollow, his hands trembling as he held a gun. "This is all my fault..." he murmured repeatedly, his voice quivering. "I created them... I paved the way for this destruction."

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached from outside. Professor Lee quickly looked up, his face shifting into extreme paranoia. With madness taking over, he began firing his gun wildly at the door, bullets tearing through walls and furniture.

"Don't shoot! Don't shoot!" a police officer shouted through a megaphone from outside. "Professor Lee, we're here to help you! Please put the gun down!"

But the voice only heightened his instability. "No one can help! It's too late for everything!" he screamed hysterically. His trembling hand raised the gun, this time pointing it at himself.

Outside, the police exchanged tense looks. "We need to go in now, or he's going to—"

Before they could act, a gunshot rang out from inside the apartment. Everyone froze. For a moment, time seemed to stop. The police quickly broke down the door, finding Professor Lee lying on the floor in a pool of blood. His eyes were open but empty, leaving behind a gaze filled with regret.

Amid the chaos in the apartment, one of the officers found an important note scribbled hastily by Professor Lee. "Necroflora... not just a mutation. They are evolution. They cannot be stopped..."

The commanding officer read the note, his jaw tightening. "This information needs to be sent to headquarters immediately. We might be facing a far greater threat than we thought."
