FALLING FOR THE UNEXPECTED
INSERT 26
Lena's POV
The room fell silent, the tension between us palpable. Ntando's eyes flashed with anger, and I could see the hurt and betrayal written across his face.
"I should have known," he repeated, his voice laced with venom. "You've been distant, and I thought it was just stress or work, but it was him, wasn't it?"
I nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. "Ntando, I—"
He cut me off, his voice rising. "Don't. Just don't. You're going to stand there and tell me that you've fallen for someone else? After everything we've been through?"
I took a step back, feeling overwhelmed by his anger. "Ntando, please listen—"
But he wasn't having it. He turned and walked away, leaving me standing alone in his living room.
