Dawn had been moving for the last fifteen minutes without encountering a single living being when his Superhero Danger sense skill reacted.
A chilling wind swept through the cavern, and Dawn gaze snapped forward. In the distance a Nether Wraith emerged from the shadows.
The moment their eyes met, its smoky form seemed to immediately contract and stiffen when it noticed Dawn's presence as if it had encountered a lifelong enemy.
"Who are you, puny human? How can you make me feel fear?" The Nether Wraith asked in a hoarse voice that sounded like two pieces of glass being rubbed against each other.
The name of this Nether Wraith was Kri the Second. He was on his way to collect the crops when suddenly he noticed commotion in the distance. Realizing the corps were causing chaos, he was immediately filled with anger.
It was then he encountered this tiny glowing human wearing strange clothes, and as soon as Kri's eyes landed on this human, he felt disgusted to the core.
"Why do I feel this urgent urge to kill this tiny human in my heart?"
"Whatever the case may be, it's just a human meant to be killed at will... Nether shift."
As soon as Kri finished speaking, his body twisted and the smoke condensed to form a sharp sword that rushed straight in Dawn's direction at great speed.
"Too fast!" Dawn muttered in a low voice and immediately tried to move to the side. He wasn't expecting the Nether Wraith to attack him as soon as they met.
A loud, ear-piercing sound of something cutting through the air resounded through the cave. Dawn barely had time to blink when the sword was in front of him, just a few inches away from piercing his chest.
His danger sense skill was going haywire. Dawn heard a loud ringing sound in his eardrums, showing the intensity of the danger.
For a moment, his heart seemed to have come to a stop, and all the unnecessary noise suddenly disappeared from the world.
"....Mmmmmmmove!" Dawn roared in his head. However, it was too late. He had barely reacted when finally the shadowy sword touched his body and tried to penetrate his tender white skin.
Dawn's heart was already in his throat. He felt a strong sense of impending doom that he had never felt before. Never in his life had he felt so close to death. Suddenly, a strong sense of regret started to fill his heart.
"Damn! I should have left this place after killing those Nether Wraiths. There was no need to take the risk."
However, it was too late for regret now. He could blame his poor ability to judge the situation.
Kri was also surprised. "Strange. This human is clearly so weak, but why did he make me feel disgusted as if he is my lifelong enemy?"
Booom!
Suddenly, a loud explosion sounded in the cave. The sword failed to break the armor defense, but the impact generated by the attack sent Dawn's body flying through the air like a bullet.
Bam!
His body only came to a stop when it hit the cave's rocky surface. "Damn, it hurts so bad," he puked a mouthful of blood and muttered in agony. Dawn felt as if his organs had been rearranged by the impact.
Dawn just wanted to lie down and call it quits, but the alarm bells ringing in his head did not allow him to let down his guard.
He was still in danger!
Kri, on the other hand, was shocked. "This human is only at the Iron Grade level. How can he resist the attack of a warrior at the peak of Silver grade?"
Suddenly Kri realized why his instincts were screaming in disgust. These humans were too strange and should be kicked out as soon as possible.
Dawn, who was in a daze, suddenly felt as if the sky was about to collapse. He ignored the pain that his body was in and looked at the Nether Wraith's figure.
However, the only thing he saw was a sword quickly growing bigger. Before he realized it, Dawn Bdiya was already flying through the air, and bam, he once struck the wall, but thankfully the sword was unable to go past his suit's defense.
The shadowy sword suddenly collapsed, and Kri's form returned to normal. "So what if you have strong armor?" A loud roar resounded in the air.
"We Nether Wraiths don't fear any armor!"
"Soul skill - The Cry of Nether..."
However, before he could finish his words, he heard the puny human muttering in a low voice.
"Nine Abyss Laser eyes."
Immediately, the entire fake cave was lit up by a string of crimson light. The Nether Wraith's figure immediately collapsed and scattered into the air without any warning.
Kri, the proud Nether Wraith, had all the advantages but still failed because he wasn't decisive enough in his actions. If instead of monologuing he had directly launched his strongest attack, the outcome might have been entirely different.
Dawn's eyes flashed with strange light as he made note of Kri's mistake after doing a small analysis of the battle.
He ignored the pain and moved closer to the two crystals lying in the distance.
He was already familiar with the silvery white crystal. "What type of crystal is this?"
Dawn's eyes flashed with fascination as he stared at the messages that popped up in front of him as soon as he had held the crystals.
[Silver Grade Soul Power Crystal x1]
[Rare grade skill crystal. After crushing it, you will get the skill stored in the crystal.]
He was intrigued by the crystals' descriptions but ignored it for now and crushed the Silver Grade Soul Power Crystal in his hand.
[Soul Power increased by +0.9]
The pleasurable sensation made all the pain that he felt disappear, and Dawn was immediately back to his peak condition.
Next, it was time to crush the Rare grade skill crystal.
Hesitating for a moment, studying it carefully. The energy swirling Inside seemed almost alive, pulsating with untapped potential.
"No point in waiting."
Dawn crushed the black crystal in his hand, and immediately a blue window flashed in front of him.
Dawn glanced at the window and smiled. He certainly wasn't expecting to receive such a skill.
