Celebrated as the most beautiful Primordial Goddess of Life, the Mother Tree, Vitaria, stood as a divine marvel, radiating energy that sustained the cosmos. Yet beneath her brilliance, something was amiss.
For countless eons, she existed as the pillar of countless worlds, a being of unparalleled power but plagued by profound loneliness—until the first mortal emerged from the ashes of creation. Crafted by the Primordials to bring balance to the void, this mortal became her first companion.
In time, the bond between the Mother Tree and the mortal deepened into something extraordinary. She shared with him the wisdom and secrets she had accumulated over ages, and together, they found joy and solace. Yet, their peace was tragically short-lived.
Unbeknownst to her, the mortal had been created with a hidden purpose. Following the Primordials' will, he betrayed the Mother Tree, stealing the Trinket of the Wheel of Creation, the very core of her essence. This betrayal left her broken and hollow.
Overwhelmed by sorrow and rage, she cursed the mortal and his descendants for eternity. Her once-radiant light twisted into suffocating darkness, and from her tainted fruits, the Scavengers were born—vengeful creatures destined to eradicate mortals as an act of her retribution.
The Scavengers, fueled by the wrath of their creator, spread terror across the worlds.
No longer the benevolent Primordial of Life, Vitaria became a harbinger of despair.
The mortal, however, was rewarded by the Primordials for completing his mission. Granted immortality, he ascended to godhood, taking the Mother Tree's place. But his triumph brought him no peace. As he witnessed his kind pay for his sins, being ravaged by the Scavengers, regret consumed him. Haunted by the memory of the love he had destroyed, he turned his anger against the Primordials who had used him.
Seeking redemption, he sacrificed his divine body and soul, forging a means for mortals to fight back against the Scavengers. From his essence, the Soul-Ore was born—a conduit that enabled mortals to harness the cosmic energy of creation, destruction, life, death, void, and aether. This marked the birth of hope for mortals, granting them access to supernatural and superhuman power.
The first twelve mortals to obtain the Soul-Ores directly from the First God inherited raw, unfiltered divine Mantra energy. They became the Divine Rulers of vast worlds, ascending to godhood.
Meanwhile, the Trinket of the Wheel of Creation, now without a bearer, recreated eleven additional artifacts—Deity Trinkets. Each artifact reflected the ideologies and personalities of the first twelve Soul-Ore wielders. These twelve mortals, now gods, soon divided due to their clashing views.
From this division emerged the Demon Gods, who embraced the Mother Tree's vengeance. Rejecting moral restraint, they sought power without limits, thriving on demonic and dark energies.
Opposing them were the Divine Gods, who believed in forgiveness and redemption, embodying purity and divine energy. They sought to honor the First God's sacrifice and protect mortals.
These twelve new gods, recognized by the laws of the Omniverse, became deities of a new age, surpassing even the Primordials in power.
From the gods' influence, the First God's sacrifice spread to mortals, sparking the rise of superhuman and supernatural beings. Thus began the era of the Rankers.
Through the Soul-Ores, mortals gained the ability to wield and master these powers by undertaking trials, exploring labyrinths, collecting treasures, and pushing their limits to grow stronger. These Rankers used their abilities as weapons against the Scavengers, though the war showed no signs of slowing.
Some Rankers, empathizing with the Mother Tree's grief and loss, embraced a darker path. They rejected righteousness, instead pursuing freedom and power at all costs. These individuals became known as Heretic Rankers, followers of the Demon Gods. They sought strength through cruelty and chaos, vowing never to repeat the Mother Tree's suffering but instead to wield her vengeance as their weapon.
Others, inspired by the ideals of forgiveness and redemption, followed the Divine Gods. Known as Apostle Rankers, they dedicated themselves to spreading peace, purging evil, and protecting the innocent.
The divide between these factions ignited yet another conflict. Heretic Rankers and Apostle Rankers waged endless wars in the name of their beliefs, even as both continued their fight against the Scavengers.
Holy Church's were raised to honor and worship the Divine Gods, while Demonic Temples were erected to worship the Demon Gods. Rankers became champions of their people, wielding incredible power as protectors or destroyers.
Yet, even after eons, the Mother Tree's curse remained unbroken. Her vengeance haunted the descendants of the First Mortal, her wrath as relentless as ever.
Was his sacrifice in vain?
Would his plea for forgiveness ever be answered? Or would the world remain trapped in chaos and bloodshed?
A prophecy spoke of a Child of Light, reincarnation and destined to embody the brilliance and radiance of the Mother Tree herself. This child, this Vassal lord, it was said, would bring an end to the bloodshed and heal the wounds of the world. For only the Mother Tree could quench her own fury.
And so, the world waits—for redemption, for forgiveness, and for the end of the endless war.
