A Fine Morning

The sun rose above the sky, the entire place coming alive as it donned everything in its color. The birds chirped to their highest pitch, perching on windows.

Isadora slowly opened her eyes at the sound of them. She rolled onto her back to face the wooden ceiling before shifting to the birds flocking around the window.

She forced her body to sit up, running her hand through her golden blonde hair. Her ambers on a spot on the wooden floor where there was a blood stain reminded her of last night's event.

An intense sensation overwhelmed her, twisting in her lower stomach, causing her to clench it.

Forcing her gaze away, she got off the bed and got ready for the day.

Isadora walked down the stairs, fixing her hood properly.

Every step she took down the stairs was a creak that caused her to wince. Solin mentioned the inn had been renovated, but it didn't seem like this.

This constant creak was going to give her a headache.
