A Bond Beyond Time

The next day, Selena found herself unable to concentrate at work. The vivid memories of her strange experience of being a princess in a distant kingdom lingered in her mind. More than that, Alexander's confirmation that he had shared the same dream-like experience unsettled her deeply. Was it really just a dream, or something more profound?

During her lunch break, Selena sat at a small café near her office, sipping her coffee absentmindedly. Her thoughts raced. If she and Alexander truly had some connection from a past life, what did it mean for their future? Was their love predestined, or were they simply victims of some cosmic twist of fate?

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Alexander was recovering well. His strength was returning, but his mind remained preoccupied with what had happened during his coma. He couldn't ignore the feeling that he and Selena were somehow tied to something ancient, something beyond their current existence. He needed answers.

"Alexander, you have a visitor," the nurse said, breaking him out of his reverie.

Selena entered the room, carrying a small bag of food. Alexander's face lit up as soon as he saw her. Despite the uncertainty they both felt, there was comfort in being together.

"How are you feeling today?" Selena asked "Better, especially now that you're here," Alexander replied with a warm smile.

Selena chuckled, but her expression quickly turned serious. "Alexander, we need to talk. I can't stop thinking about what happened to us. It's as if… it wasn't just a coincidence. What if it's real?"

Alexander reached for her hand, holding it tightly. "I've been thinking the same thing. I don't know what's happening, but I want to find out. If this is some kind of connection from our past, we need to understand it."

"But how? Where do we even start?" Selena asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

"There might be someone who can help us," Alexander said after a moment of thought. "An old friend of my family Professor Alden. He's a historian and specializes in ancient legends and myths. Maybe he can shed some light on what we're experiencing."

Selena hesitated but eventually nodded. "Okay, let's meet him. Maybe he can help us make sense of all this."

Later that afternoon, after getting permission from his doctor, Alexander was discharged from the hospital. Selena helped him back to his apartment, where they planned their next move.

"I'll call Professor Alden and arrange a meeting," Alexander said. "If anyone can give us answers, it's him."

Selena sat down beside him, her heart heavy with questions. "Alexander, do you think we're meant to repeat whatever happened in the past? What if… we're destined to face the same fate again?"

Alexander looked at her intently. "No matter what happened in the past, Selena, I won't let anything or anyone take you away from me again. We'll face this together, and we'll change our destiny if we have to."

Selena felt a sense of reassurance from his words. Despite the fear and confusion swirling inside her, she knew one thing for certain she wasn't alone in this. Together, they would uncover the truth, no matter how strange or dangerous it might be.
