To summon the Ender Dragon, one must place four End Crystals atop the bedrock blocks at the End Fountain.
After that, it's just a matter of waiting a short while before the Ender Dragon reappears.
Following Ryen's instructions, the End Crystals were placed properly. The bedrock beneath them suddenly ignited in flames.
As the flames lit up, the End Crystals began to spin rapidly.
At the same time, the previously destroyed End Crystals atop the obsidian pillars began to regenerate.
Everyone's personal interface suddenly showed a progress bar.
Though the bar advanced slowly, it was clear that it wouldn't take more than an hour for the Ender Dragon to be fully summoned again.
Seeing this, Ryen temporarily gave up on his original plan.
He had originally thought that if the Ender Dragon's summoning took a long time, it would be a good opportunity to lead everyone to explore the End a bit.
Perhaps even check out the End City.
But since the summoning was so fast, it seemed no one was in the mood to go adventuring elsewhere. Instead, they set up a table and sat down to rest.
Xiao, however, couldn't sit still. He grabbed a boat and went off to find more Endermen.
He intended to wipe them all out before leaving the End.
Although the Lucky Blocks had given everyone quite a few Ender Pearls, one could never have too many of those.
Besides, many people now needed Ender Pearls, so it made sense to gather more.
During the recent battle with the Ender Dragon, they'd all seen firsthand how useful Ender Pearls were.
For such a teleportation item, everyone remained very enthusiastic.
Ryen didn't stop him—clearing out the Endermen would help keep the battlefield clean for their next dragon fight.
They could finally remove their pumpkin helmets.
Besides the aesthetic, those pumpkins really hindered visibility.
As Ryen watched the light from the End Crystals above him converge and weave the form of the dragon, he felt a bit of regret.
"If only I had brought redstone with me this time to the End… I could've built the most destructive weapon in all of redstone tech."
This statement immediately piqued Ningguang's interest.
To her, anything involving redstone was directly connected to the Jade Chamber.
She still felt that the upgrades to the Jade Chamber weren't perfect enough.
She turned and silently stared at Ryen, her gaze full of curiosity and desire to learn more about this redstone creation he spoke of.
Ryen chuckled softly and said:
"The Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon…"
"Sky-Based?"
This strange term made everyone curious.
Ryen nodded and looked at Ningguang.
"You all probably understand that due to the relationship between height and gravity, even just dropping a huge rock from the Jade Chamber onto a monster below can cause massive damage."
"The concept of 'Sky-Based' first originated in my previous world. Someone proposed a theory—to send tungsten rods into space."
"Then, when needed, allow the tungsten rods to fall freely from space, like artificial meteors, plummeting from hundreds of thousands of meters in the sky."
"The damage it would cause could even surpass that of a nuclear bomb."
"This was a theoretical, ultimate weapon that still only existed in science fiction."
Everyone nodded thoughtfully.
Teyvat's research in science was still in a very primitive stage, perhaps due to Celestia's restrictions.
In any case, given their understanding of combat power, they could imagine the kind of damage such a weapon could deal…
…but understanding the principle behind it was a different matter.
Not that Ryen expected them to understand.
He continued:
"The so-called Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon is a massive redstone platform built high above the Ender Dragon."
"Using TNT boosting and bow mechanics, it accelerates arrows to their maximum possible speed in an instant."
"With such extreme speed comes extreme power. The energy generated in that moment— even though the Ender Dragon is constantly regenerating health through the crystals—"
"—is still enough to completely negate any healing and instantly wipe out its entire HP bar."
"This is an extraordinarily complex, yet equally terrifying weapon. As of now, there's virtually no living creature that could withstand a single blast from it."
Ryen wasn't wrong.
Without mods like Titans installed, in the base Minecraft world, the Ender Dragon is practically one of the toughest mobs by raw health.
If even it could be one-shot, what other mob could possibly survive?
However, hearing Ryen's explanation, Ningguang couldn't help but become fascinated.
If the Jade Chamber could be equipped with such a Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon...
Against ordinary monsters, deploy redstone bombers. Against powerful monsters, unleash the Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon?
Could the Jade Chamber be manually upgraded into a mechanical war god?
Ryen immediately saw through Ningguang's train of thought and smiled wryly.
"I'd advise you not to consider installing the Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon on the Jade Chamber."
Ningguang raised an eyebrow, curious.
"Why? Is it really that dangerous?"
"Dangerous…"
Ryen thought for a moment, then shook his head.
"To the enemy, sure—it's absolutely dangerous. This thing could probably one-shot even a not-so-powerful god."
"Even Morax himself might not be able to dodge it and would be gravely injured in an instant."
Ningguang became even more puzzled.
"Then why not let me install it? Don't worry, I wouldn't just fire it whenever I feel like it."
Ryen gave a bitter smile and shook his head.
"It's not a matter of danger."
He sighed and began explaining patiently:
"The Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon takes advantage of too many world and block mechanics. You wouldn't be able to understand it completely without spending several months studying it."
"Besides, the construction is immense. Even if I knew every step by heart, it would still take over a month to successfully build one."
"And the material cost is enormous—beacons, redstone, TNT, timers…"
"A full Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon requires nearly thousands of blocks, and its structure is almost half the size of the Jade Chamber."
"With that thing installed, how would the Jade Chamber even fly?"
"Not to mention, this isn't just some simple redstone cannon. If you want to replicate the Sky-Based Dragon-Slaying Cannon on the Jade Chamber…"
Ryen paused, then continued explaining:
"From my perspective, it can only be placed beneath the Jade Chamber. I'm not even sure if the Jade Chamber's power source can move it."
"Besides, your Jade Chamber hovers above Liyue Harbor every day."
"A space-based dragon-slaying cannon capable of leveling cities or nations, aimed daily at Liyue Harbor—aren't you the least bit concerned?"
"You know, this thing can instantly kill the Ender Dragon. If it's fired on Liyue Harbor, it could probably flatten half the city in one blast."
"If Morax found out, would he even allow you to install such a thing?"
After saying this, Ryen glanced sideways at Zhongli. The latter gave a subtle nod, his gaze offering tacit approval.
Zhongli wasn't too worried about the Redstone cannons on the Jade Chamber.
Regular TNT, he could block with his shield. Even a large amount wouldn't cause major damage.
After all, Liyue Harbor was protected by multiple immortals—and himself.
But the space-based dragon-slaying cannon was different.
It could one-shot an Ender Dragon. Zhongli doubted even his own defenses, or those of the other adepti, could withstand it.
As powerful as it was, it really didn't need to be mounted on the Jade Chamber.
And besides, the Jade Chamber no longer lacked Redstone weaponry.
Something as excessive as a space-based cannon? Better if it didn't appear at all.
Ningguang snuck a glance at Zhongli. His face was calm, but from his eyes, she could tell—he clearly disapproved of installing that cannon on the Jade Chamber.
So she didn't push it.
The Jade Chamber, as it stood now, was already a formidable war fortress.
Seeing Ningguang's somewhat disappointed look, Ryen thought for a moment, then said softly:
"If you're really keen on further arming the Jade Chamber, we can look into the modern weapons mod once we get back. I think there's an automated turret system in there."
"Once it's installed, any unidentified enemies that approach the Jade Chamber will be automatically targeted and struck."
"But I don't really remember how to make it. I'll need to research it when we get back."
Automated turrets?
Not just Ningguang—even Jean and the others perked up at that.
Ryen didn't bother explaining further—he didn't even know the crafting recipe himself.
Best to go back and study it first.
As they chatted, the Ender Dragon above gradually reached its final phase.
Everyone stood up, gazing toward the sky.
The ever-playful Venti's eyes lit up mischievously. With a cheeky grin, he said:
"Say, don't you think this counts as desecrating the Ender Dragon's corpse?"
His odd thought made everyone pause for a moment. But then Lumine responded:
"More than that!"
"We killed the Ender Dragon, took its egg, then summoned it again just to kill it again and take another egg."
"And then we're going to hatch those eggs, raise the dragons ourselves, and make them fight under our command."
"When you think about it like that… yeah, we're definitely the bad guys. But…"
Lumine blinked playfully and glanced at Ryen.
"It's all Ryen's fault! He's the one who talked us into slaying dragons and collecting dragon eggs!"
"If the Ender Dragon's ghost wants revenge, it should go after Ryen!"
Ryen chuckled and deliberately put on a serious face:
"If that's how you feel, then let's spare one dragon. I'm sure kind-hearted Lumine wouldn't want to kill a dragon and take its egg."
Lumine froze, her face stiffening. She puffed up angrily and glared at him.
"Ugh! I was just joking! Ryen, you petty jerk!"
"I'm petty?"
"Well… actually…"
"Fine, I am petty. Your dragon egg's gone."
"What?! Ryen, I said I was sorry!"
Compared to their first dragon hunt, everyone had become far more experienced.
The Ender Dragon was indeed powerful, but its attacks were just the same old tricks.
Even a few seasoned Millelith soldiers could beat it—let alone this group.
Zhongli and Xiao, as always, prepared to climb the obsidian towers and take out the iron-bar cages.
The others didn't need any orders from Ryen—they took their positions automatically.
As the Ender Dragon reappeared, it let out a thunderous roar, asserting its dominion over the End.
A well-aimed RPG sailed right into its mouth.
"Tch. I'm getting better at this."
Ryen grinned and swapped in his light machine gun.
As he opened fire, the group's assault became fierce once again.
The End, silent for half a day, once again echoed with unrelenting gunfire.
Meanwhile, Ganyu nimbly sniped down the End Crystals without iron cage protection.
This time, Ryen gave no instructions, no warnings.
There were no rallying cries—only the sound of gunfire drowning everything else out.
