Sarah made it to work on time and sneaked into her office almost unnoticed. She planned to stay holed up in her office until it was time to close. Thank God she had a ton of work to keep her busy.

Skipping her usual morning coffee ritual, Sarah settled down at her desk immediately and got busy.

She could hear the silent whispers of colleagues as they walked past her office. Inwardly, Sarah was devastated, but she managed to concentrate on her work. How she fell from being a highly respected boss to becoming the boss's slut, still mystified her.

She blamed herself. She was having so much fun with Ethan, she had lost all sense of decency and responsibility. She couldn't bring herself to leave the office.

During break time, Sarah remained in her office and played spider solitaire on her computer to keep herself occupied. She had gotten something to eat from a drive-through on her way to work, but she still didn't have the appetite for food.
