CHAPTER 50
I thought of that for a moment, then nodded my head. If that was what my boss required, then so be it.
"That would be tomorrow, boss," I asked, then looked at my watch to confirm what time it was. Saw the mistake and then added, "Sorry, today. It's five minutes past zero hundred hours already."
And with that, I got up. If the boss was angry about something and did not wish to discuss it, then it was best left alone. It was best to leave Frank alone for the time being. I would deal with that side of things later.
"See you later, boss," I said, leaving Frank's room.
Frank had completed his beer, was lying on the bed with his hands placed behind his head and gazing at the ceiling. He closed his eyes, and the only thing that went through his mind was the past.
I hated remembering the past because that segment formed me into the individual that I had become.
