She had no plans of opening the door but was left with no choice when the other person was persistent.
She furrowed her brows when she opened the door.
On the other hand, the person smiled instantly upon seeing her.
"Hi, nice to meet you. I will be your neighbor from now on," he smiled, offering his hand.
"…"
She looked at his hand before looking back at his face.
He smiled again, "I am Shawn Dominick Lockhart, nice to meet you, Miss Harmony Thomas."
Harmony sighed, "Welcome to the neighborhood. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am quite busy."
Without waiting for his response, she closed the door on him.
Shawn shrugged, "Well, I expected that much. But this also confirms Gabriel's words."
That Harmony was from City S.
She was shocked to see "him" in front of her, not seeing Shawn Dominick Lockhart.
Luca Atkinson has black hair and eyes, while Shawn Dominick Lockhart has dark natural brown hair and brown eyes.
And no one would have ever guessed that Luca and Shawn were one and the same unless you are from City S.
Unless one already shows promise, those prominent families won't bother with you, even if you are part of the four big families.
Despite his achievements, his parents still overshadow him and his sister, and those people are not yet extending their claws to them. In a way, this is how their parents are protecting them.
That is why he is also still quite free from all those silent battles between those big families.
"Come to think of it, there was that smell on that same day I got to read her story," he suddenly remembered.
While the students clamored about their ranking in the hallway, he passed by someone who smelled of a perfume that had a very limited number, as it was a special product for that time.
And only five were sold.
It was a unique smell that his sister loved, and he knew how it smelled.
"If I am to think about it, I could not pinpoint who it could be and thought that I must be wrong. But if it was her, whose presence back then was barely visible to us."
He shook his head in this realization.
"Well, I'll slowly get to know you from here on out. As I let you get to know me too," he said, looking at the door before walking back to his house.
Harmony also realized her reaction too late.
Seeing him caused her to just react the way she would with Luca. She should have acted shocked or curious if she did not know Luca was Shawn. And when he called her by her full name, it was then she realized her mistake.
She sighed, "If Mother or Father were to know that I made such a blunder, I would be heavily reprimanded again. Or they will just pull me back and stop this farce all at once."
To think Shawn would appear as his real identity now. She just hoped nothing major would happen again that would cause her family to be stricter with her.
"Even that is tiring," she couldn't help but say.
"Just two more years," she muttered again before she started cooking what she decided to cook moments ago before she was disrupted.
…
"Good morning," Shawn greeted when they chanced upon each other on the day of her first subject.
She got home a bit late the night before because of the increasing demands from her parents. She did not even have the energy to glance at him.
Shawn did not mind and simply walked towards the station and got on the train.
What he did not expect was the fact that Harmony was on the same train as him.
He kept his distance, not wishing for her to think that he was following her.
But as always, people kept glancing at him.
With a bright aura and a gentle look in his eyes, together with his sharp, handsome features, a lot admired him even while he was still studying.
Especially now that he was sporting his real eye and hair color, which matched his features perfectly, his appeal shone even more.
He was used to it and could ignore them completely, but what he could not ignore was the fact that he and Harmony were actually studying at the same university.
He did not know how Harmony reacted to this as well because she never glanced at him. But he was shocked.
"What's wrong with you?"
Just like him, Gabriel was also studying here.
"Did you know that Harmony will be studying at this university as well?" Shawn looked at him in shock.
Gabriel blinked, also not knowing it, but soon shrugged it off because it was not his business to keep tabs on her.
"No."
"You are not shocked by my information?"
"I think I would say, seeing you as Shawn is more shocking," Gabriel replied before he started walking ahead.
As first-year students, he and Shawn had few of the same minor subjects.
Shawn looked at the path that Harmony walked on before following Gabriel.
Somehow, he was becoming more and more curious about her.
"Come to think of it, it's amazing, isn't it?" he started again.
"For Justin to be accepted by that Lucius Wood as his student."
Lucius Wood is a violinist known all over the world. His music is breathtaking, and people say he plays as if the violin is a part of him. With perfect skill and deep emotions in every note, he has amazed audiences in the biggest concert halls. Many call him a true music genius.
He is in his early fifties, tall, and lean. His jet-black hair is always neat, though a few strands sometimes fall over his forehead when he plays. His sharp gray eyes are intense and serious, giving him a distant and thoughtful look. He dresses with elegance—whether in a formal black suit for concerts or something more relaxed in interviews.
Over the years, he has played with the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. His albums top classical music charts, and his concerts sell out in minutes. His recordings have been acclaimed for their emotional depth and technical perfection.
The reason why Justin was trying hard all this time was because he wanted to become Lucius' student, and he had achieved that goal.
