"Echelon Dominion's Medea."
As Harmony had said, once the voting was over and the counting was done, Medea was called out as the winner with a vote of 75 percent.
Three-fourths of those who watched voted for Medea.
They were congratulated one after another, and scouts handed Beatrice their calling cards. Some even asked if she already had an agency.
It was a very chaotic time, and her group of friends could only watch from the sidelines as the others who had waited for the results slowly dispersed.
"Seriously, I want to go back and train," Kenneth suddenly said.
The rest looked at him. It seemed he was into acting much more than they thought.
Even while they were watching earlier, he was completely focused on the play and was observing every performer closely.
"Do you want to go back now?" Justin teased.
"Of course not. It is not every day we get the chance to have a holiday with our group of friends."
As they chatted, Gideon approached Beatrice on stage.
"It is our loss. A complete loss," he said, extending his hand to her.
Beatrice smiled, "It was a wonderful experience."
"And?" Lawrence said smugly after their greetings.
Gideon looked at him. His brows twitched because Lawrence was radiating a triumphant aura.
If he had a tail, it would be wagging nonstop.
It was obvious he felt proud that Beatrice was now in ED.
Gideon chuckled, "You won."
Lawrence huffed proudly.
Gideon glanced at his team, "Anyway, with this, I suppose those people will finally start to change."
They watched as Samantha approached Beatrice, who was surrounded by others congratulating her and asking how she did it.
"Miss Falcon."
Beatrice turned, her smile fading slightly.
"Can I speak with you alone?"
Beatrice turned to the others, and they stepped away, leaving them alone on one side.
Samantha pursed her lips before taking a deep breath.
"I want to sincerely apologize."
Beatrice stared at her.
"As obvious as it is, I was jealous of you. Despite lacking experience, I could see that you have talent. I…"
Samantha fidgeted.
"I was scared that you would take my position because you were that amazing. So I chose to use underhanded methods that were unforgivable. I even persuaded everyone that you were better off out of the team."
Beatrice remained silent.
"I really am sorry. I was wrong, and you were truly amazing. Everyone has seen it."
Samantha sighed, "I would understand if you would not forgive me, but I will still say this. I will strive harder. I will do my best to become even better. It is not easy to change, but I will try. That is because of you, Miss Falcon. You allowed me to open my eyes to what I have been doing."
Beatrice finally smiled, "Then I will not back down either. I will keep improving and becoming better and better at acting."
Samantha smiled in relief, "I look forward to more competitions with you. Not just here, but even in the big world."
She extended her hand, and Beatrice accepted it with a smile.
She did not feel any bad blood toward Samantha in the end. Because of her, Beatrice was able to spread her wings even more. She found more confidence and was able to deliver such an amazing performance.
That is why, even just a little, she was also grateful for Samantha's character.
"Bea!"
As Samantha turned and left, Beatrice heard a familiar voice calling out to her.
She turned and saw her friends standing in the middle of the audience seats.
Her eyes widened in surprise, and she broke into a bright smile.
"That is the brightest smile I have seen from her in months," Victor commented.
"Yeah," Lawrence replied.
"Ah, they were the ones I saw this morning," Julian added, remembering the group who had been watching them.
"Do you think he is one of them?" Lawrence suddenly asked Victor.
"Who?" Victor furrowed his brows.
"The one she was interested in," Lawrence said.
"Why not ask her?" Victor shook his head.
"I was just curious, but not enough to ask her," Lawrence quickly said.
"Uhmmm, lead… I…"
Just then, Beatrice approached them.
"We will let you go just for this performance," Lawrence said before she could finish speaking.
"But…"
Beatrice glanced at the set.
"Since you gave such a remarkable performance, we will let you off the hook for this one," Lawrence shrugged.
Beatrice turned to the rest, and they were all nodding or waving her off to go to her friends.
At this moment, she was the only one in ED who had friends come over to watch her performance. It was not common, and knowing how difficult her current life was, they were willing to let her off this time.
They knew she was a scholarship student while also working a part-time job to get by.
"I suppose this is one of those times where you find solace in the company of your friends," Rowan sighed.
"It is good she has such great friends who would fly all the way here to watch and support her," Renee smiled.
"But I think there should be two more people," Julian tilted his head.
He had seen six people that morning, but now there were only four. One lady and one guy were missing.
"Come on, we still have a lot of things to do," Lawrence clapped his hands, and the rest started working on the final part of the performance.
The cleanup.
