As we stepped out of the restaurant, the cool night air brushed against my skin. Emily pulled out her phone, dialing her agent to arrange for a car, while I watched in silence. She gave the address in a calm, practiced tone before slipping the phone back into her pocket.

Jeevon and Rose had gone ahead to fetch their car from the parking lot, leaving me alone with Emily at the entrance. The street was quiet except for the distant hum of passing cars.

I hesitated, debating whether to bring it up or let it go. But the thought had been eating away at me from the day it happened, and now that we weren't surrounded by cameras or an audience, I couldn't hold back any longer.

"You know," I started, glancing at her, "you're actually not as bad as I thought."

Emily turned her head, raising an eyebrow. "Should I take that as a compliment or an insult?"
