Kain Locke
It has been two days.
Two good days,
That's how long I'd been back in this damn base, yet it felt no different from the day I arrived.
Half the base had been sent on a mission, including my roommate. That left me alone in this room, waiting, thinking. And then there was Kael.
I hadn't seen a glimpse of him since they took him away. No messages, no signs, nothing. I told myself it didn't matter. That I wasn't thinking about him. But that was a lie, because the fact he hadn't returned bothered me so much.
So much, I hated that it did. Hated the way my mind kept circling back to him, wondering if he was all right, if he'd gotten himself into trouble again. Or he was back on his floor where everyone was forbidden from being on and decided to not come see me, he's an unpredictable person after all.
