Taking out her hands out of the blanket, the woman gently moved her fingers through her husband's hairs: " Enough. Am I not fine. And why are you holding me all this while, aren't you gonna see our daughter? Or do you despise our child because she is a girl and not a boy whom you could train as a soldier, just like you? Huh?" Madam Wei feigned anger and sternly asked.

Hearing her words, the man's hands trembled and he immediately pulled her out of his embrace looking at his wife's bloodless face, the man immediately leaned in gave a fleeting kiss on her pale lips.

"How is this possible? I-I love any child you give me. It doesn't matter it's boy or girl, as long as it's from you, I'll love them with my life." The man in front of her hastily made promises and vows and swear to the heavens.

It took every ounce of her strength to stop her lips from curving up but she made through it.

"Then why aren't you already taking our baby girl in your arms and coaxing her?" Madam Wei raised her brows as she looked at her husband and sternly asked.

It was only then, General Wei, Wei Jingchen remembered that he had become a father of a baby girl and now he have to divide his attention and affection equally between his wife and his daughter.

"Haha." Giving an awkward smile to his wife, General Wei turned towards the wet nurse and took the baby girl from her hands in his strong arms.

The fragile little thing was not crying anymore but was quietly looking at him with her round and big eyes. Her lashes were still wet with her tears from her earlier crying which only added another allure to her already watery eyes.

It was not the first in his 26 years of life when Wei Jingchen had held a little baby in his hands but it surely was the first time when he had held his own child, his own flesh and blood that too, this little thing had just been borned and was so light in his arms as if he didn't keep an eye on her, she would flew away with winds in a blink of the eyes.

"Aah. How can be our daughter so small and so light? Did you not eat enough nutrients when you were pregnant?" Wei Jingchen turned to his wife and asked with a frown between his brows.

This was the question which wake Wei Ning up from her trance because this was the same question, Wei Jingchen had asked her mother when he first saw her in her past life.

In the white hospital ward, after seeing his daughter for the first time, Wei Jingchen turned to his wife and asked: "Aah. How can be our daughter so small and so light? Did you not eat enough nutrients when you were pregnant?"

And now in this setting where the scene had totally changed from the modern hospital wards to a room which gave a feeling of the historical era. The room was built with woods and sunlight was brightening the room. A few candles were still lit in the corners of the room, may be they have forgotten to blew them off. The air was more fresh and the atmosphere was clean. There were no car or scooter's sound outside of the window.

If the antiques and furniture was not so real and solid, Wei Ning would have thought, she had borned onto a set of some historical drama's shooting.

She was real and this world was real too.

Looking at her father who were looking at her with frown between her brows and questioning her mother for not having enough nutrition which led her becoming so fragile and small, Wei Ning could only click her tongue.

"Tsk. No matter in which era they were, this man can never change his thinking. I'm already so big for a newborn baby, what does he want from me? Does he want me to become 10 pounds already? There are no C-section in this era, if I were to become so big and heavy then my mother could only welcome her death and this this man would blame me for killing his wife." Wei Ning didn't hold back her sarcasm as she threw one after another remarks towards Wei Jingchen for having so little knowledge about a newborn baby.

His wife was already pregnant for almost 10 months, and he hadn't gathered even such basic knowledge about child bearing, how was he fit to become her father.

"I'm feeling like returning back in time and asking to exchange my father with some of my reward points." Wei Ning thought to herself as she narrowed her eyes at her unreliable father.

"Ah! Madam, look at our child, is she looking angry because I told her, she is small and fragile?" Looking at the frowns forming between her brows and her eyes looking furious, Wei Jingchen immediately took her to his wife.

"What nonsense are you spouting? How can just a few hours old baby can understand what you said about her?" Madam Wei scolded her husband not realizing how biased she was in this matter.

Meanwhile, Wei Ning had already retracted all fierceness and coldness from her eyes.

When Madam Wei looked at her daughter in her husband's arms, she could only see her daughter's watery eyes, dazzling from the reflection of golden sunlight.

"Look how innocent and adorable our daughter is looking." Madam Wei said to her husband as she reached out to caress their daughter's little head with very few strands of black but silky hairs on it.

"Ah mother, I finally found your love." Wei Ning pouted and looked at Madam Wei as if she had been wronged so much by her father's words.

Wei Jingchen also looked down and saw his daughter little mouth perked into a pout. While holding her little frame with one hand, he reached out with his hand and poked on her little pout.
