9 Coaxing his wife in his 'special' way

White magnolia once again had bloomed, it's cloud like white petals were falling on her little frame when wind gently brushed against it's branches.

Today was a rare day when Wei Ning didn't made any mischief instead she had been sitting quietly under the magnolia tree since she had learnt about her father's departure for the north.

It was not that she hadn't imagined such scenarios of her father going to the border to protect the country... but the problem was the deviation from the original story.

Since the day Wei Ning had reborn in this world, everything went along with her life story in the modern world..... but with a historical twist.

Except Jiang Cheng's strange behavior sometimes in this life, everyone behaved the same way as they were behaving in her modern life, sometimes even their dialogues and expressions would overlap so accurately that Wei Ning start to feel confused between the modern and historical world. It felt like... someone had plagiarized the life story in her modern life into this historical era.

Since this was the case, life was going easy for wei Ning. Everything was under her prediction. It was like; she could become a fortune teller and could predict everyone's future accurately.

But with this new twist of war made Wei Ning feel this thing was not simple as it looks on the surface.

If she remembered correctly, there was a scene when the enemy nation had sneaked attacked on her country and they had lost a big portion of land but at that time no one knew about the betrayal at that time neither her father was asked to lead the army.

According to her memory, her father never joined that war. It was only nearly fifteen years later they recovered their lost land and the truth about the treachery came out but that betrayer's name doesn't seem to be Song Wanlei or Lei Ting.

Then what happened now? Is this some signal that she shouldn't rely solely on her knowledge of her past life and should be prepared for the future if this deviation make the future take a totally new twist.

Because she was too busy chasing after Jiang Cheng, Wei Ning didn't care to learn about the worldly affairs.

Tsk.

How stupid she was in her past life? Only if she could go back in time and punch herself a few times. Aah!

In frustration, Wei Ning could only smack her head on the stone table in front of her and whine to herself.

One week later...

All the preparations of reinforcement had been made and more than ten thousands of Shi soldiers were standing outside the capital city waiting for instructions to set off.

Inside the Duke Dinghai's mansion, Madam Wei was hugging her husband tightly, her eyes red. It was inevitable for her husband to go on war, she knew it when she married into a military family but since they got married, it was heaven's grace or just a coincidence but the Empire had been on peace and Wei Jingchen had been stationed in the Capital City itself, to protect the Emperor.

It was the first time, Madam Wei was putting battle armer on her husband's body and sending him off for a war.

No matter how tough she tried to be, her fragile heart couldn't help but shudder at the numerous thoughts going around in her head. She came from a scholarly family. Her father Minister Bai was minister of war in the imperial court. Old duke and minister Bai used to be good friends and Wei Jingchen also used to visit Bai mansion. He and Madam Wei could be considered childhood sweethearts but at that time when Wei Jingchen used to leave for border, they were only used to be friends but now she was sending off her husband for a battle, how her heart won't shudder?

"Here. Here, Madam. Stop crying now. If you would cry like this and got sick then, in my absence, who is gonna care for our little princess, Huh?" Wei Jingchen tried to hide his pain of separation from his wife and daughter for an unknown period of time and tried to coax his wife to stop crying.

"Come on, dear. It's only for a few months. Just wait for your husband patiently at home and I'll be back really quick. Okay?" With uncertain promises, Wei Jingchen tried to cheer his wife up and caressed her hairs with very gentle care. But Madam Wei just shook her head and tightened her hold around him, refusing to come out of his embrace.

Kissing on top of her head when she didn't leave him, Wei Jingchen hugged her back. His strong arms tightening around her, he nuzzled his face in her black, silky, long hairs.

Dipping his head in the crook of her neck, he kissed her there. Leaving soft and feathery kisses from her neck to jaw, his lips finally met hers in a deep and passionate kiss.

His one arm encircled her waist while the other one cradled her soft, flushed cheeks which was stained wet with her earlier tears. His thumb gently brushed against her cheeks, wiping the tears away as he tilted his head and dippen the kiss.

Madam Wei also didn't hold back as she threw her thin and pale arms around his neck, bringing his face closer as she tip-toed, trying to match his height as well as his passion.

They were so engrossed in their passion, they didn't even noticed their three year old daughter, twitching her lips and rolling her eyes. All the sadness she felt on her father's departure, instantly flew out of the window. Her face showed a look of disdain. Shaking her little head, Wei Ning couldn't help but think if it was a fortune for her, in guise of this disaster. Because only when her father was away from the capital city that there would be no one to steal her mother from her and her mother would love her and care for her only.

After coaxing his wife in his 'special' way, Wei Jingchen finally rested his eyes on his little daughter who was making expressions like his old grandma.

Chuckling to himself, he walked to her trying to lift her up in his arms only to be dodged off.

"Hmph."
