The snake lunged forward, its massive obsidian jaws snapping shut with a thunderous boom that sent shockwaves through the cavern. The heat alone was enough to scorch the air, making it feel like Kaden had stepped into the heart of a sun.

He barely managed to dodge, rolling to the side just as the creature's fangs embedded into the molten ground. The impact caused a violent explosion of lava, sending fiery projectiles in every direction. Kaden shielded his face, feeling the sting of searing heat against his arms.
