Let it not be said that the great and handsome Aldo Greco is not a magnanimous person!
Pictures with kids? Of course!
Shaking hands with the fan that came from far away to see me? Sure thing!
Helping the elderly when I am able to? Absolutely!
Taking my perverted junior to see the play in which Heidi stars because I succumbed to a few threats of him telling my manager all the bad things I have done, and have successfully hidden, but somehow thought telling Niccolo was a good idea?...
Damn you, Niccolo!
First, and probably the only reason, I really did not want to bring him with me was simply because: he is Niccolo. His debut was roughly half a year ago, yet he has already acquired quite a reputation in the industry. Publicly, he does not have a bad image because he knows how to conduct himself. Yet the things he does behind doors…
The person working in the entertainment industry who does not know Niccolo must be living under a rock.
However! The thing I do not understand about his fandom is the fact that they are fine with his subtle – and sometimes not so subtle – flirting with any female figure. In the only talk show he attended, he even openly talked about his past lovers and no one in his fandom minded!
Niccolo is not ugly, quite the opposite to be honest, and his image was not sold as the innocent type either. So, why can he go around skirt chasing when I cannot?!
It is enviable because my fans always rage whenever I date someone. I can safely say that almost half of my failed relationships were due to the harassment of my fans towards my girlfriend. Must be the curse of my beauty… What would my fans do if they ever find out about Heidi?
No, no, think about beautiful things, Aldo! Think about Heidi!
So, the matter here is that presenting a woman to Niccolo is bad.
"I didn't think you would bring a friend!"
No, my dear Heidi, I also never thought of bringing him, but the circumstances changed the situation.
Though, rather than complaining, Heidi, who came to receive me in the lobby of the theater an hour before the play is set to begin, looks extremely happy. I am not sure if it is because of me… or because of Niccolo. It cannot be because of Niccolo, right?
Ah, this uncertainty is killing me! I have a lot things I want to ask her; however, if I want to get answers, then I have to speak with her alone. No Niccolo or other bothersome people around!
"I didn't want to-" A sudden push throws me aside, stopping my words.
"Miss Heidi. I never thought Aldo would be a childhood friend of yours! I really admire you, and always wanted to be on the same stage as you." I knew bringing Niccolo was a bad idea. This rutting dog cannot go around without moving his tail around a woman! He's even making up things just to get close to her.
I really am used to him and his attitude. What makes the whole situation worse – and making me really angry – is that she is smiling! She is smiling while accepting Niccolo's rather cringe-worthy kiss on the hand. Heidi Ricci! I knew you were a cheater! Niccolo is fine, but I am a hundred-no, a trillion times better!
"Ah! It's little Nicky! I'm looking forward to your first musical! When I heard you were going to be the main character, I could not contain my excitement! I'm a big fan of yours." Wait, wait, wait! Whose fan is she now? Whose fan?!
Furthermore, she knows him?! Why is it that everyone knows Niccolo despite being relatively new in the industry?! Is he Satan?!
AND WHY DOES HE HAVE A NICKNAME WHEN I DO NOT?!!
"It's such an honor that you know little me, and that you're my fan. I've been your fan since your first play." Don't you dare, Niccolo! Do not kiss her hand again! Aaagh! Why are we in a public space? Why? I need to teach this junior of mine good manners!
"Oh yeah, here," Heidi nonchalantly pulls her hand from his grip, and fishes in her pockets for the tickets she promised to give me. "It's first row so you can enjoy it better." She smiles.
"Al- I mean, you! You didn't have your own?!" Shut up, Niccolo, you're making me look like the bad guy here. What did I do wrong in my past life to have this kind of junior? And why the hell am I his friend? I should just unfriend him…
"Then, what about yours?" I grumbled.
"I have one for each of the functions. I bought them as soon as they started to sell them. Just, who do you think I am?" He smugly smiled at me, waving his ticket around. That's the question, who are you? I cannot win against this man and his shady means.
Heidi just chuckled at our interaction.
"Heidi!" A woman from the play calls out for Heidi, halting our exchange. "Only you're missing, hurry up and get ready." She relayed while nodding at me and Niccolo.
"Oh, it's that late?" Heidi startles. "Well, then, hope you enjoy the function!" She bids us farewell and quickly leaves together with the woman who came to pick her up.
We see her go, then Niccolo turns to look at me with a suspicious gaze. I decide to ignore him for the sake of my health and just walk towards the main hall where another woman led us to our seats.
Thankfully, our seats are separate, so I am spared from his rapid-fire interrogation. People keep flowing in and soon enough almost the whole hall is full. I am impressed at the sheer number. It was basically a full house! I smile, proud of my little savage.
Sometime later, they begin to announce the usual indications for a play. After doing so three times and the last errant attendants make it, the doors close and the lights go off. I get comfortable and put my whole attention to the stage.
To say I am captivated by Heidi's acting is to say the least. She looks completely different than when she was doing the rehearsal. I cannot recognize any of her usual personality traits in the person Heidi is interpreting. She is a different person on stage.
I never thought she had this side.
This talent is worth giving her tons of leading roles in movies or series! Why does she only stick to being an actress in plays? And I'm not saying that her talent is being wasted, it's more like, it should be known all over the country or even worldwide. That's how talented my little savage is!
When the play is over and the group bows to the public, I immediately stand up and clap at her, obviously only at her. I do not even care about the others. She glances at my direction and winks at me.
Oh shoot! Does she want to send me to the hospital because of a heart attack?! That was dangerous! My heart is wildly beating in my chest! Calm down, heart mine…
As I make my way out of the main hall, Niccolo beelines towards me, his eyes burning with unmistakable curiosity; he wants to ask something so badly that he will not wait until we reach an appropriate place. Being in disguise, nobody has thankfully noticed us and I wanted for it to remain unchanged.
So, I signal at him to wait. I want, at least, for everybody to leave before he vomits all his questions.
He pouts but nods. I sigh relieved. The things I do to keep this little menace happy. I really should unfriend him.
