Chapter 1

Kathy Holman, my lone sibling, became instantly smitten with The Prince of the Capital's Elite Circle.

To create a chance for herself, she didn't hesitate to spike his drink at a social gathering.

I didn't intervene then. In fact, I even assisted her in delivering the tainted beverage. Furthermore, I thoughtfully reserved a posh hotel room for her scheme.

In my past life, I tried to stop her when I saw her doctoring the drink, cautioning her about the Miles Family's vast influence in both legal and illicit spheres. I warned her that crossing them was akin to inviting disaster.

That evening, however, Chester Miles ended up in the company of another woman. By the following day, he was suddenly engaged to her.

My sister remained silent about it. But on our journey home, she shoved me off an overpass.

I died instantly, my body mangled beneath a fast-moving truck. In my last moments, she yelled at me, blaming me for ruining her opportunity to marry into wealth.

When I regained consciousness, I found myself back at that fateful social event.

This time, I was resolved to let her actions backfire!

——

As I observed Chester consume the laced wine, my sister stood nearby, her eyes glinting with cunning satisfaction.

Within moments, the drug took effect. Chester's face turned an unnatural shade of red. His security detail quickly stepped in, supporting him as they led him upstairs.

I signaled "OK" to my sister and handed her the room key. I was about to leave when she grasped my arm.

She hissed menacingly, "Don't think I'm unaware of your intentions! You're staying put until this is over!"

"Keep watch outside the room for me! If Mr. Miles's people appear, you'd better know what to say and what to keep quiet about!"

This time, I didn't interfere. I wanted to see how far she'd push her machinations.

My sister assumed I would try to stop her; it's what I did before. Instead, this time, I released her hand.

Noticing the bodyguards eyeing her from afar, I smiled and said, "Relax, you're my sister. If I don't help you, who will?"

"When you become part of the Miles Family, just remember your sister, okay?"

In my previous existence, she believed I had sabotaged her chance at a wealthy marriage, blaming me for her failure and my horrific demise.

This time, I won't interfere. I'll even support her every step of the way.

Let's see how far she can stretch her luck!

Kathy didn't hesitate. Tossing her head back, she grinned arrogantly.

"At least you know your place. Once I'm part of the Miles Family, I'll get you a job as a driver or secretary. That should keep you clothed and fed for life!"

"When we go upstairs, keep quiet. If anyone asks, say you're staff waiting for Mr. Miles's orders. And if you mess up my plans, you know what'll happen!"

Her piercing gaze bore into me as she grabbed my wrist and pulled me upstairs with her.

The security stood at the door as my sister made an excuse about bringing water and entered.

I remained hidden at the corridor's end, keeping watch.

Shortly after, a loud thud came from the room. Moments later, Kathy was dragged out, unconscious, by a group of men. Five bodyguards, wearing lewd grins, pulled her into the adjacent room.

Seeing this, I sighed in relief and clapped my hands, ready to depart.

Suddenly, a hard blow struck the back of my head. Everything went dark and I lost consciousness.

When I came to, my limbs were bound to the bed with silk ribbons. Before me was Chester's perspiring face.

My eyes widened in shock and I tried to call for help.

Before I could, he silenced me with a forceful kiss, his lips pressing hard against mine.

"Don't think I'm unaware something was wrong with that drink tonight," he said, his voice cold and threatening.

"Since you brought it, you'll face the consequences…"

My pleas for help were muffled as the room filled with heated breaths. I fought fiercely, using all my strength, but it was useless.

Whatever drug Kathy had obtained was too potent—Chester didn't stop until dawn.

When he finally slumbered, I endured the pain throughout my body, quietly freeing myself and putting on my clothes.

Chester was notorious for his merciless and vindictive nature. I wasn't foolish enough to linger as Kathy would have.

After meticulously erasing any evidence of my presence in the room, I made my escape.
