Chapter 2

Beyond the fear of being expelled from the Gryffindor clan, I worried that our past business dealings might create obstacles for us. Recognizing my father's struggles, I tirelessly contacted all the major associates from my previous existence, aiming to devise a strategy to revitalize the company.

Eventually, I completed the proposal. However, on the day of the succession, Renee presented an identical document, dated a full day before mine.

Given the compelling evidence, nobody questioned the authenticity of her plan. I was immediately branded a shameless copycat who had stolen my sister's work.

Renee gazed at the file on my computer, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Sherly, I'm aware that I'm not as capable as you. I've been working tirelessly for the company's betterment. How could you take my files? Are you trying to force me out of the Gryffindor Family?"

She added, "I understand you also want what's best for the company. I don't hold it against you. If you admit to plagiarism and willingly forfeit your inheritance, I'll ask father to let you stay and provide you with a monthly allowance of a thousand."

Her seemingly generous offer immediately sparked outrage among the shareholders.

Several individuals rose, pounding the table and hurling accusations at me.

"Some business prodigy she is! She's nothing but a fraud! Her previous plans must have been stolen too!"

"Mr. Gryffindor invested so much in her, making her a general manager right away. Is she deserving?"

"If Renee hadn't exposed this, the company would've fallen into this cheat's hands! Mr. Gryffindor, forgive my harshness, but after what Sherly did, she doesn't deserve the Gryffindor name!"

The company unanimously accepted Renee as the new chairperson, while my father evicted me and stripped me of all assets in my name.

Renee pressed charges, landing me in prison where I was fatally beaten. Even in my final moments, I couldn't fathom how the partner I'd worked so hard to secure appeared in her proposal. Noticing her concerned expression now, I responded calmly.

"Don't worry, Dad. I grasp what you're saying. I'll do my utmost to find a solution for the company."

As I left, I mentally reviewed every detail from my past life.

After drafting the plan, I only shared it with my father. But Renee and I were both his daughters. Our actions were for the Gryffindor Family's benefit. It seemed implausible that he would steal my plan.

So where did the issue lie?

Perplexed, I scrolled through the contact list of major partners on my screen. These companies were suggestions from my fiancé, Jacob Mraz. Knowing I was a recent graduate lacking experience, he had been immensely helpful over the years.

Could he have leaked the information? I removed the partners he'd recommended, deciding to find them myself this time.

I couldn't believe Renee was capable of theft!

Upon arriving home, I received a message from my father containing a list of partners - connections he'd cultivated over years in business. He stressed repeatedly not to inform Renee about the list.

This clearly indicated he was placing all his hopes on me. Examining his careful notes on the screen, my confusion deepened.

Previously, I always believed my father favored me, allocating most resources to me. He consistently gave me more than Renee, even arranging my engagement to Jacob, a suitable match for the Gryffindor Family.

From the day I joined Gryffindor Group, employees hung on my every word, viewing me as the future heir. But after experiencing the family conflict in my previous life, I could no longer associate the word "favoritism" with myself.
