Kael watched as Irelia ran toward the first carriage of the convoy, her elegant figure still exuding an air of innocence. She quickly opened the door and entered, disappearing from Kael's line of sight. He crossed his arms and sighed, feeling like he had just gotten involved in something bigger than he had anticipated.
"Oh, yes, of course, because nothing in your life is simple," Umbra murmured sarcastically at his side, floating with a mischievous expression. "The noble girl enters the story, and the next chapter is about to be a drama of intrigue."
"Give me a break, Umbra," Kael replied, rolling his eyes. "I just said I would travel with them. That doesn't mean I'm getting involved with them."
"Sure, sure," Umbra responded with a mocking smile. "Because accepting an invitation from a random noble girl has never led anyone into trouble before. Not even once in the history of the world."
