Under the spell of invisibility, Asher and the fox made it out of the forest and in I'm the flat lands they could see the city from where they were but Asher wasn't yet awake.
Steven had gotten tired and sat down to rest but with Asher still tied to his back he couldn't.
He turned his head and bit the leash off, it snapped off almost instantly, then the fox lessened in size.
Steven began to cry. Asher fell on the floor, the rough landing woke him up and as his eyes slowly opened he looked at the fox crying and wondered why.
Its ears were down and it whimpered in a very low pitch.
Asher raised his hand and brushed the fur on his back and said in lovingly voice
Don't worry, I'm okay, don't cry.

The jester spoke with a bit of anger in his voice.

He turned and saw the jester floating in the air a few feet from him. Asher got on his defence and said.
