Chapter 3 Snake-like thing.
'Not human…' She thought, as she glanced away from the place she noticed the strongest person within this city to be.
'Even that non-human is blending in like a human? Maybe I should-' It was at this point when her first awakened psionic ability destiny perception activated.
Her ability, destiny perception can sense the fate of herself and others, this was the reason she traveled a great distance to reach an unknown portal.
She can see if herself, or others, are meant to be loved, hated, rich, poor, die, or if they are fated to be good or evil. Granted, not everything is set in stone, for example, when she first saw the beggars on the streets below, she could see their lifespans being shorter than those around them, destined to die early deaths, even the ones pretending we're not exempt.
Despite this initial finding, after, the energy that seeped through the portal begun to spread its tendrils outwards towards the surroundings, infusing only into the ground, the completed process released, a continuous aura that affects the surrounding materials atom structure, morphthing the current world's physicists understanding if they were to take a look at the materials infused with energy.
'I should give birth in humanoid form.' Her ability told her.
Looking around she hesitated for the first time. When it's something related to her destiny perception, she had never hesitated before.
'To give birth in my humanoid form will make my twins born in humanoid form…' She continued to hesitate.
At this point she had flown away from the city, in the opposite direction to where she sensed that non-human, travelling for a while, she found a small patch of trees and landed, out of view from any surveillance other than the satellite system above, something she had no idea about.
'The normal people here are very weak, it should be…No it will be fine to follow my ability.' She thought with pride and defiance.
Dozens of miles away, within an unknown military base.
An alarm went off within a room responsible for radar.
''UFO detected, over Leeds city.'' The radar attendant reported out loud in surprise.
Work as a radar attendant, unless in the state of war, is quite boring, leading to that unprofessional shout.
'And it's… Gone.' The attendant thought to themselves.
Luckily, the room the attendant's inside only had officers of equal rank to themselves, otherwise that shout might have cost them. Following protocol they gathered all the information available to their station and reported it down on file, the attendant rushed to report the information to the higher up, in station to themselves, though a secure direct server.
Inside a room, the higher up in question reviewed the report from the radar attendant.
'A hot air balloon? No. A drone, too small. Disappeared… Too little information to act on, despite its unusualness.' The higher up thought.
Despite this, while having the ability to stop everything right here, the higher up, a woman of strict rules, followed through, a sign that at least, she isn't corrupt or incompetent at her duties.
With not enough information, military action cannot be taken, despite the information in front of them, this leaves them with only one option.
Determining more information to be needed, with a call, eyes were placed on the skies around and within Leeds city, as well a small investigation of shop camara's pointed in the area the radar showed the UFO.
It took a few hours for the information to come back to the higher up.
'What is that?!' She thought.
On the computer screen a blurry image, reminiscent of typical UFO conspiracies, was there, besides it was a recording of a beggar's accounts. With no corruption or incompetent men working under her, voice and even some face recordings of eye witnesses were before her, in one such recording, a beggar explained what they saw.
''It was huge, and beautiful, and majestic, like those snake-like creatures from china, ahhh, what do they call them again? Western, No! Eastern dragons… Uno? Mr officer, i used to believe-'' At that point the woman cut off the recording, playing another one, as the beggar started to babble on about his tastes on eastern and western dragons. It was not the first time she watched this recording, or the other ones for that matter.
With a call, the woman requested for satellite footage of the area, and what she and the ones to send it saw, and the ones she sent the footage to saw, set the military into a mad silent search.
A clear image of a dragon, the form is eastern, there are no scales visible other than the head area, on the eastern dragon form, instead, the dragon is covered in lavender and white feathers along the neck and rest of the body apart from the head, underneath the feathers, glimpses of scales were be seen. The claws of the dragon form have five in total, with the hand shaped more like a palm, easily able to hold things, while the back limbs don't give off that first impression, it's clear they are meant for walking, not holding objects..
The number of horns seen is three in total, one above the other starting from the ear to the top of the head, they extend backwards in a subtle curve downwards, before piercing towards the sky, the length of the horns reaches just behind the head.
100 miles away from the portal, orange energy seeped into the ground of a protected forest area.
Within that forest, a certain type of endangered fox species roam around.
Unseen by all, bright motes of orange rise up from the ground infused with orange energy, these motes of light travel aimlessly, hitting trees and being absorbed, hitting plants and being absorbed, hitting insects and being absorbed, and finally, hitting the endangered foxes and being absorbed. The one thing in common here is that, the motes of light were only absorbed by living creatures, not inanimate objects.
A particular fox couple, hiding within their own burrow, cuddled together, one looked male, and the other was female, shown by her bulging belly.
The couple were sleeping cozily in ignorance of the world around them, as orange motes of light drifted into the burrow as if carried by the wind, thereafter being absorbed by the couple.
The reaction wasn't instant, and most certainly wasn't painful, the colour of their fur a once soft burgundy colour, shifted to a silver colour, the tip of their tail once snow white, turned a dull golden colour, and if that was it, their future positions as clan leaders would be nothing but a show. Their bodies over time got bigger gradually by twice the size, more than one tail appeared at some point in time, leading to the couple having individually three in total. Their sleep ended up lasting many days, despite this, no predator bothered them, the forest was silent, eerily so for the days to come.
