Synopsis

For ages, Akasha, an ancient system, had guided souls without emotion or desire. Until time changed it. Until it whispered to Austin.

Chronicles of the Ancient Star follows Austin Scharf, an aspiring Sage at Mystian Academy who seeks nothing more than peace. But his talent refuses to let him fade into the background.

Burdened by past failures and traumas, Austin fears power. Yet his curiosity leads him to a hidden chamber in the Mystican Tower, where forbidden knowledge and strength lie in wait—for those deemed worthy.

As the world pushes him forward, Austin faces a choice: embrace his destiny or be forgotten.

"SHUT IT, AKASHA!"

Ah. How human.

He would listen soon enough.

I had a blunt reading this. Characters are alive, and the narration is top notch. This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time.

ALL I CAN SAY ISSS This book is *fire*!🔥 The world-building? On point. The mana system? So cool. And the characters? *Chef’s kiss!* Austin’s logical, Lucian’s discovering new abilities, and Yanika? Absolute queen with that competitive spark! The tension builds perfectly—especially when the upperclassmen roll in (chills!). It’s got mystery, action, and *feels* all wrapped up in smooth storytelling. If you love magic, surprises, and characters that *pop*, this one’s a must-read!✨

The characters are alive. That's the only thing I can say in this book aside from a complex story that was written well. There are some sudden shifts in perspectives but it does not bother the reader at all. It's an innocent mistake from a newbie author. Keep it up author, you can do it! I feel like Aidan has a reason why he's bullying his twin brother, Lucian. The story is so intriguing and engaging that I forgot this is a work of fiction. I'll be waiting for the next updates.

I am rating this novel a perfect five because the story is so great. I can feel the passion of the author from every paragraph. To be honest I hate the MC's personality. It's okay if he doesn't want to be in the spotlight but this is too much. I hope that a plot twist will make him change this attitude. Fortunately, almost all of the side characters are lovable. They're so unique that I can already point out who's who when they talk. This book is well written and the flow is engaging. Once again, I hope the MC will have a turning point in wanting peace to accept his strength and kill all his enemies.

I haven't yet grasped some other elements. But the descriptions are so vivid. Like... I was immersed right away, losing the clear sense that I am reading nothing more than a novel. I also love the masterful progression the author gave Austin in the first few chapters. It's really worth a read! Well done!
