Chapter 58 - The Solar Eyes System!

[System Creation Successful]

After hearing the system notification, Hengsheng sensed that the new system node had completely formed and was now attached to his spiritual symbol. When he checked his status panel, he saw that a new auxiliary system had been installed. Without hesitation, he quickly opened the new system panel.

"Good."

Ever since he obtained the Sun Gaze Genetic Trait, he had been somewhat disappointed with its power, as it did not align with the vision he had hoped for. After studying it carefully to determine the cause of its weakness, he discovered that its strength was deeply linked to the energy stored in his cells and human genetics rather than the energy within his spirit core.

To fix this issue, he attempted to cultivate [Path of Genetic Evolution Cultivation Method (Incomplete)], intending to enhance his human genetics. His original plan was to practice both cultivation systems, combining the Genetic Evolution cultivation system with his already cultivated Path of Dao Attainment cultivation system. However, he soon realized that dual cultivation between the two systems was impossible because they were incompatible.

This unexpected limitation shattered his plan to awaken his own human genetic trait, but he refused to give up—he was certain that the genetic power within him existed, and one day, he would find a way to unlock it.

Since cultivating his human genetics had failed to strengthen his Sun Gaze Trait, his only remaining option was to enhance it through the system itself.

With the upcoming opportunity to hunt his target, Hengsheng decided to combine his Eye Trait Upgrade with a Detection System. The fusion of these two resulted in the creation of The Solar Eyes System.

Hengsheng opened the [Heavenly Insight Mode] menu and then started adjusting the settings to specify what he wanted to search for. He did this to reduce the cost of activation. After adjusting the settings, he activated it.

[Heavenly Insight Mode Activated]

[00:24:59]

After [Heavenly Insight Mode] was activated, Hengsheng's pupils glowed with golden light, and a golden ring appeared inside his eyes. His vision changed as he became able to see the red thread that appeared in mid-air—the Karma Thread connecting him to the Thunderclap Blade Sect disciples.

Hengsheng quickly picked up Yunsu.

"Meow?" she protested.

Then, without hesitation, he dashed to follow the direction of the red thread. He had to hurry—each activation lasted only one day, meaning he could use it for only a little more than ten days before his system points ran out. He needed to make every second count.

As he ran, he observed the Karma Thread, figuring that it would take him a month to reach the end of the Krama Thread. He regretted not having a flying treasure for himself—it would have helped him a lot in his travel. Running a marathon for a month was not going to be fun.

As Hengsheng dashed forward, the Karma Thread flickered faintly, stretching endlessly into the horizon. His golden eyes locked onto it, tracking its every movement as it pulsed with energy, guiding him toward his prey.

Yunsu, still cradled in his arms, let out a soft meow of protest, her tail flicking in mild annoyance.

"Quit complaining," Hengsheng muttered, his steps light but swift. "You're riding for free while I have to keep my foot moving."

Yunsu squinted up at him, as if considering whether to bite him in retaliation, but eventually settled into a comfortable loaf position, her ears twitching as she lazily observed their surroundings.

The landscape blurred as he accelerated his speed the endless forests melted into streaks of color as Hengsheng pushed his speed to the limit. Every breath, every step, every heartbeat synchronized with the golden glow of [Heavenly Insight Mode], keeping his eyes locked onto the Karma Thread.

Ten Days Later

Hengsheng's body had long adjusted to the constant running, though his patience was wearing thin. The Karma Thread still stretched into the distance, never-ending—like a cruel joke from the heavens.

"Meow~" Yunsu purred, shifting in his arms as she spoke in cat language. "Are we there yet?"

"No, but we're close now. Why don't you try sniffing the air? Maybe you can help me find anything."

Yunsu lifted her head and sniffed the air, her nose twitching as she focused. soon she shook her head as she did not find anything interesting.

Hengsheng continued his travel for a couple more hours before [Heavenly Insight Mode] time was up.

When the time was up, his golden pupils returned to their normal black state, and the Karma thread slowly faded from his vision.

He slowly slowed down until he completely stopped. Hengsheng looked around, hoping to find a place to rest. He observed his surroundings and found that he was now in a bamboo forest. He also sensed that there were demon beasts nearby, but he did not care about them since most of the demon beasts at the outer rim were weaker than him—only a few were Rank 3 demon beasts.

He traveled in the direction that the Karma thread had laid out before it disappeared. Soon he found a small river, and he decided to rest there for a while. He prepared the place before sitting not far from the river.

Hengsheng looked at his remaining system points.

Ding!

System Points: 410

"I am poor now; I had to do something with this." Hengsheng tried to avoid killing the demon beasts just to collect system points because that was too selfish and lowly—killing the weak to earn money was the way of a thug, and he was too proud to do that. Luckily for him, he now had another way to earn system points.

"Blue," Hengsheng called out to his secretary.

"Yes, Master? Do you need assistance?" Her voice came through, sounding occupied.

"If you're busy, I can call you later," Hengsheng said, checking on her.

"I'm currently teaching a so-called Primordial God a lesson—he dared to proclaim himself the owner of the universe. But if you need something, Master, just let me know."

Hengsheng's eyebrow twitched. What nonsense was she dealing with now? He hadn't checked into the System World for a while, and apparently, a lot had changed in his absence.

"Just generate a quest for me. Use 1,000 AP—I need to earn some system points."

"Understood. No quest criteria provided, so I'll initiate a random quest generation."

[Yes/No]

Hengsheng eyes are wide and confused.

"What the heck is happening"

"Meow?"

Inside the inner circle of the outer rim, a region once isolated by a powerful formation set by the Golden Sword Sect, The formation has been destroyed—shattered by the immortal power contained within a talisman used by a mysterious group. With the barrier broken, the inner circle is now exposed, allowing both enemies and other gathering participants to enter freely.

On the southeastern side of the inner circle, a group of ten Golden Sword Sect disciples is desperately fleeing. They are relentlessly pursued by the mysterious attackers, whose sole intent is to seize the Earth Seal Core Formation.

They cannot allow that to happen. News from their senior disciples at the Metal Seal in the southwest confirms their worst fear—the Fire and Wood Seals have already fallen to the hand of the traitor. If they lose the Earth Seal as well, the enemy will control three of the five seals, granting them dominion over the Outer Rim's Seal Formation. Their mission will fail, and with it, calamity will surely descend.

"Senior Brother, they're getting closer!" one of the Golden Sword Sect disciples panted, his robes torn from the frantic escape.

"I know!" his senior growled, gripping his sword tightly. "Just a little further—we need to reach the arrangement point!"

Behind them, more than forty shadowy figures flickered through the bamboo forest, their killing intent sharp as blades. With a burst of speed, the pursuers closed in.

"No choice—we fight!"

The ten disciples turned, swords flashing as they clashed with the enemy. Sparks flew as steel met steel. Golden metal Qi surged through the air, illuminating the darkened forest.

The ten disciples of the Golden Sword sect are not much inferior to the enemy despite their being outnumbered 4 times.

A black-masked attacker lunged, nearly cutting through the junior disciple, but his senior blocked it with a violent counter.

"There's too many!" the younger disciple gasped.

Just then—the ground trembled. A suffocating aura from afar crashed over them.
