Trouble Comes Knocking

Ethan brought Elena back up the mountain and found a group of Level 37 monsters—Magic-Eyed Apes, a bunch of spell-based mobs with 2,400 magic attack and 260,000 health. They had two skills: one for single-target damage, one for AoE.

With Elena, a super healer, by his side, Ethan didn't have much to worry about. Still, he didn't get reckless—Violet Shadow was still watching.

His figure weaved through the Magic-Eyed Apes, dodging spells while his dagger slashed at the beasts from cunning angles. He couldn't avoid every hit, but it was a lot better than brute-forcing it like before.

"Ethan, don't be afraid of them. I'll heal you," Elena said, tightening her grip on her staff.

"Uh... it's fine, you don't need to worry about me," Ethan said awkwardly.

"Oh." Elena nodded blankly and turned her attention to Silver Fang instead. Her brother didn't really need healing—just keeping the pet safe was enough.
