After the great victory over Karlin, an unusual silence filled the castle. The ground still bore the scars of the recent battle, and the walls stood as witnesses to the sacrifices made. In the grand hall, Ryo and Jin sat before a table laden with carefully prepared dishes, the servants' attempt to ease the exhaustion weighing heavily on everyone.

Ryo, visibly fatigued despite his efforts to hide it, spoke in a quiet tone:

"Jin, that was a bitter fight… but this is only the beginning, isn't it?"

Jin, seated beside him, looked at him with a sharp gaze that carried remnants of relief.

"Battles like this prove to us that our strength is still not enough. Karlin was a formidable opponent, but he's not the strongest among our enemies."

Ryo turned his gaze toward the window, watching the cloud-laden sky, and said:

"What about you? Do you think this power we've gained will be enough for the future? Or is there even more we'll have to face?"

At that moment, the system appeared before Ryo in a holographic display, its words clear:

"The road ahead remains long, Ryo. The challenges to come will test your limits like never before."

Ryo ignored the message for a moment, trying to focus on his conversation with Jin. However, Jin noticed his distraction and asked coldly:

"The system spoke again, didn't it? What did it say this time?"

Ryo sighed and replied:

"It seems to be warning me as usual. It says the challenges ahead will be even harsher."

Jin smirked sarcastically and said:

"That's what the system always does. But the real question is: can you endure more?"

Ryo slowly rose from his seat, his gaze fixed on Jin, and said firmly:

"If I can stand here now after everything that's happened, it means I can handle what's coming too. But we need to prepare—not just with strength, but with strategy as well."

At that moment, Elin entered the hall, her expression filled with worry.

"Jin, Ryo, we have a problem. The remnants of Karlin's army have regrouped. It seems they're planning a counterattack."

Jin frowned and said:

"Didn't we eliminate them completely? How did they manage to survive?"

Elin added seriously:

"Not all of them were on the battlefield. There are secret groups starting to move, and they might be led by someone even stronger than Karlin."

Ryo closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them and said:

"If someone is planning revenge, there's no time for rest. We need to act now before they become a greater threat."

Jin stood beside Ryo and said in a determined voice:

"This time, we won't let anyone escape. If they want revenge, all they'll find is their end waiting for them."

As everyone prepared to move against the remnants of Karlin's forces, a strange atmosphere filled the air. The tension was palpable, visible on every face, but Ryo was different. Despite the calm demeanor he tried to maintain, something was clearly bothering him.

While Ryo was preparing in his room, a message from the system appeared:

"New mission available: Uncover the Shadow Leader. Details: The enemy is planning an unexpected retaliation. Locate and stop him before it's too late."

Ryo muttered to himself:

"Shadows? So, the enemy isn't just Karlin's leftovers… someone else is pulling the strings from behind the scenes."

Suddenly, Jin entered the room without knocking, speaking sharply:

"Ryo, we have new intel. A new leader, known as 'Valas,' has emerged. They say he was the mastermind behind Karlin all along."

Ryo raised an eyebrow, replying sarcastically:

"And you know this now? After we've already dealt with Karlin?"

Jin, unaffected by the sarcasm, responded coolly:

"Valas is different. His strength isn't just military. He's smarter than you think. He manipulates minds and uses everyone around him like chess pieces."

As Ryo fastened his sword to his side, he looked at Jin and said:

"So that means we're facing a battle not just of swords… but of wits too."

Jin stepped closer, saying:

"And that means we need to plan carefully. It won't be easy to locate him, but he's definitely making moves now to exploit our weakness after the last battle."

Scene Transition: The Shadows' Camp

In a distant location, Valas sat on a dark throne, surrounded by a massive map of the continent. Beside him stood a group of commanders who appeared far more loyal than Karlin's army ever had been.

Valas spoke in a quiet voice, carrying a terrifying authority:

"Ryo and Jin? They're just more pawns in this game. The only problem is… they don't realize they're playing by my rules."

One of the commanders knelt before him, asking:

"My lord, should we begin the attack now?"

Valas smirked mockingly and said:

"No. Let them come to us. They'll think they're hunting, but in truth… they're the prey."

Back at Zenir Castle

Ryo and Jin gathered with Elin and several military leaders to devise their strategy. The room was tense, but Ryo appeared the calmest of them all.

Ryo spoke in a serious tone:

"This person, Valas… if he's as clever as we say, he'll definitely try to lure us into a trap. The question is: do we follow his plan or make one of our own?"

Elin, studying the map of the continent, replied:

"We've received reports indicating that he's operating near the Shadow Valley. That location is perfect for an ambush."

Jin nodded, adding:

"Shadow Valley? If that's true, he plans to use the terrain to his advantage. We need to be extra cautious."

After a moment of thought, Ryo said:

"Alright, we'll split our forces. One group will move openly toward the valley, while another attacks from the flanks. If Valas is setting a trap, we'll turn it against him."

The Preparations for Battle

The following morning, the forces set out under Jin's command, while Ryo chose to infiltrate the area with a small group through the mountain passages. The system continued to send warning messages:

"Valas is not what you expect. Be ready for surprises."

Ryo responded silently in his mind:

"I know. But if he's planning a surprise… I'll surprise him first."

Jin, at the head of the army, exuded authority, his voice booming:

"Leave nothing to chance. If you face resistance, do not fall back. We are here to end this."

From the other side, Ryo whispered to his group:

"Stay quiet. We don't want our presence revealed too soon."
