CHAPTER 14: Rooftop Revelation

A few nights later, Luna and Liam snuck onto the roof of a local library. Wrapped in thick coats and scarves, they set up a small speaker and played music from Luna's phone. The town's lights twinkled below as they danced, their breath visible in the cold air.

Liam spun Luy around, his hands steady despite the slick roof tiles. She laughed, clutching his arm for balance, but her laughter faded when she saw the way he was looking at her.

"You know," he said, his voice soft, "I didn't think I'd ever be this happy again."

Luna's chest tightened. "Me neither."

For a moment, they stood in silence, their foreheads touching. The world around them seemed to disappear, leaving only the sound of their breathing and the faint music in the background.

"I don't want this to end," Luna whispered.

Liam smiled, though there was a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Then let's make it last as long as we can."
