chapter 3, Little brothers in trouble

Daniel gulped as he looked at Karim who was besides him

"No, you can't. You're not needed." Karim response as he crossed his arms, trying to be brave

The strange man tilts his head, he tried to look inside from the small hole but Daniel had put his palm over it.

'Come on children... I'm a plumber! And are you two home alone?'

It was getting uncomfortable for the two boys, why won't this man just leave them alone

"No we're not alone, now go. We're busy and we don't need you" Karim glanced at the window and quietly walks over and pulls the curtain down

'Well... than let me-'

"Yeah you heard him, and this house if perfectly fine, we don't need a plumber" Daniel cut him off, refusing to open the door, no matter the number of times the man knocks on the door

That man shakes his head while he shrugged 'Okaay, of you say sooo. I'm leaving' he made some strange noises as he left, or did he?

the amount of times he told them to open the door and let him enter was uncomfortable for them now.

Karim's attention was caught by his elder sisters phone laying on the sofa and he quickly grabs it and runs up as he grabs Daniel and the two run up.

Karim pressed the numbers to unlock Esta's phone

he knew the password because it was he himself who chose the password for her

He and Daniel hurried to Esta's room because her's felt the safest, with all windows covered. He called the first person Esta had spoke to, 'Krispy deep fried chicken' though they did find it strange, they ignored it.

They heard another doorbell, and a loud knock. Seems that man didn't leave yet,

"How are the neighbours not hearing this knocking..." Daniel shivered as the two hopped the call will be picked up and thankfully, it did.

'Bello, are you still-'

"Can you come? My sister is not here and uh... uhm a-" Karim struggled as he was getting nervous, handing it to Daniel since he can speak better

"There's this man that keeps on trying to enter the house... we're being as quite as we can..! can you come?"

There's silence before there's a sound of someone jumping down the stairs and slamming against a door from the other line 'I-i'm coming little brothers, keep the call going.' he continued 'And take a picture or video of that man ok?'

"O-ok, there's no knocking anymore but that man is calling us out... I think from the backdoor" Daniel gulped again, rolling out from under the bed and clicking pictures of the man and going back under the bed

'I see- I'll bring my friend with me k? don't come out until you hear three doorbell very fast, I'm on my way'

"Thank you uh, brother" Karim speaks as he peeks his head out of the bed before turning to Daniel again.

The noises were suddenly gone and Karim told Esta's friend about it but he told not to come out because it might be a trap

It took a while, the two were out of the bed with the door locked. Karim made a small gap from the window to see where and what the man is doing so that he can tell that to the phone

"He's uh... Looking around the back yard, I don't know what he's looking for but he seems uh, chill" Karim tilted his head as he glanced at Daniel who was looking as nervous as him

thinking of the worst case scenario in their heads

'Hey buddy, we're here but don't come ok? We came quietly so that man will not know.' He cuts the call

Daniel quietly dashes to the window above Esta's bed, he saw two bikes parked a house away from them, one of the bike being smaller than the other, with a large pink sticker one the smaller one and on the average size one there was a grey handkerchief tied to it.

Daniel smiles wide as he turns to Karim and whispers "Your sister's friends must be here! look, he said he's coming with someone so it's two right."

Karim also looks out and brightens up as he notices the bikes, the bike with grey handkerchief

"Oh! I like that friend of Schwester Esta, he's really cool." Karim smiles as he tugs on Daniel's shirt

Outside the house, was Otto standing infront of umber hair, who was shorter than him "He didn't leave yet, I can hear things dropping." The shorter guy speaks

He nodded, he knew he hadn't left "Kris, you go and scare that man. Go around the house slowly and scare him, he'll come running over here."

'Krispy deep fried chicken' was apparently Kris, Kristian. "Eh?" he paused "oh you're right that'll work." Kris stuck his tongue out before he tiptoed his way behind the house

Otto just standing there tapping his foot, he didn't look much taller than 165cm, maybe a little shorter but who knows

Kris poked his head up to scare him but didn't work he the man didn't see him, disappointing him badly

"What is your bald ass head doing at madam's house? Do you know what privacy is?" He asked in a loud voice, mocking the older man as he pointed his finger at him

The man immediately dropped whatever he was holding and ran to his right since in the left Kris was standing and blocking his way

Just as the man thought he had successfully escaped, he was punched in his jaw by Otto "You're not going anywhere you ugly ahh fish. You've got some explaining to do."

He grinned as Kris came from behind with a stress ball in his hands "Say aaaah" he smiled

The man aggressively shook his head, his mouth shut due to the impact of the punch in the jaw "This kid is telling you to open your open your mouth asshole" He forces the man's mouth open as Kris shoved the stress ball in, preventing any screen from escaping

"Go in and stay with the children, I'll be in the backyard." Otto gestured him at the doorstep as he dragged the man to the backyard.

Thankfully there were no neighbour to witness any of the drama, excluding an orange cat with another black cat starring at them

Before Kris can even ring the doorbell the second time, the door swings open as Karim and Daniel stands there glad that he's here

"Hellooo" he waves at the bestfriends with a smile in his face, Karim calls him inside the house as Daniel finnally looked reliefed

"I was really scared!" Karim exclaimed with his arms high expressing his fear

Kris snickered at Karim's words, he wanted to tease the little guy but thought about it and decided not toz despite the fact that he's a tease

"Am I allowed in? Heir of the house?" He tilted his head as his hands behind him.

Daniel giggled as he went to the living room and lifted the curtains because there's no need to cover anything now because the strange man is gone

"Yeah! Your sister's friend you can come in." Karim drags Kris as he shuts the door behind him and sits him tot sofa

the two tell him about the things they felt when they first saw that man, and what they did and say to him when he kept on telling them open the door.

Yapping to him, they did some few extra things that were there but how can Kris possibly find out its just made up.

Everytime a groan of pain was heard from the garrage outside, Kris would immediately question something to talk about things inside the house in a louder voice so the children would hear the man crying in pain.

Kris had to turn to TV on so that the sounds will not be heard.

The man breathing heavily as he continues to shake his head, repeating the sentence 'I had no intention against the children' over and over

he had blurted out that sentence that it made it clear to Otto that he did have some intentions against the children "Ugh, you know? Child pretedors are one of the type of people I hate the most" he sighed as he stomped on the man's family jewels and to be specific, he stomped on the man's penis

"Oh no, looks like you can stick that small ass penis inside children now" Otto mocked him as he pulled his phone and clicked a picture of him "you will say hello to the police soon and a goodbye to his house asshole"

Otto kicks the man's arm which are tied behind him, making him fall over as he was also exhausted.

After a while, a police car pulls over near the house with two somewhat uncaring officers. The two officers question the kids and as well as Kris and Otto about the situation

The police weren't so sure about the man due to the lack of evidence but judging by his past crimes, it's also likey he tried robbery

"For the mean time, he'll be in prison until it's actually settled." The female officer reassured the kids because they were the victims

The police officers arrested the man and dragged him inside the car, taking him to jail. That man had been charged with robbery not once but twice and there were some few reports saying that he was harrassing kids but there was no proof for that one.

Otto turned to the bestfriend, looking grumpy as always "What are you looking at." He asked before he turned away and allowed himself him unlike Kris who had asked permission

Karim tilted his head to the side as Otto just entered, kind of disappointed that he didn't even get to say hi or hello him

Karim barely knew any of his sister's friends, he only knew a girl named Simone who often came ask help in her assignments... and met Otto once in a while, always admiring him

"Karim" Daniel calls out of him as the two enter the house followed by Kris closing the door behind him

"Yeah?"

"When is your sister coming back? I think she needs to know what happened." Daniel mumbles as he looked away. He was right, but Karim was kind of nervous about telling that to her because who knows how she might react...

"dunno when she's coming but, I'm kind of scared to tell" Karim dropped a sweat as he jumped on the sofa and leaned back "But... I wonder what she's doing, she might be late but I don't know."

Esta actually ended up coming earlier than she had planned, she had to make an excuse saying that her grandmother was in the hospital so she had to go.

It was 7 o'clock now, the sun already set with the only source of light outside being the moon and the streetlamps that are hanging and some from inside houses

Esta reaching was loud as she was rushing home, didn't park her bike correctly. She just shut the garrage down and ran inside the house with her helmet under her arm

"Karim, Daniel-" She huffed, sweating as she kept the helmet on the counter and wiped her sweat.

"Are you two alright, what happened." She hurried over, not seeing Kris on the corner of the sofa using his phone and Otto who was a little away from her, just standing infront of the counter eating some biscuits, "In the-" she paused as she saw Kris in the corner

"Welcome back madam." He saluted, she didn't know why, but she didn't care about that. "You, you know what happened?" She looked back Karim and Daniel and told them both to go up to the room.

They didn't want to go up but had to because Esta didn't seem patient...

"Sit your ass down and listen." Otto walked behind Esta. Kris averted his eyes 'nope, I don't wanna be involved in this...' he cried from inside, his seniors, these two in particular always ends up arguing.
